Important to note the Mace Windu prizes are for Store Showdowns, not prereleases. Prerelease promos are the alternate-art Luke and Vader that come in the box you purchase.

I like the question of: "do the store showdown prizes line up with the casual intent of the casual part of organized play." I agree that store showdowns are the boundary of casual and competitive play. But also, I'd expect there to be a ton of store showdowns, especially if FFG don't gatekeep what stores can host these events. That could mean every store that ran prereleases could host one of these. As opposed to planetary qualifiers which could be more exclusive.
