I live in Kolkata and it feels like we are living under occupation, out of some movie. It’s weird this is the condition of the state when it’s 2024. People shy away from taking the name of Mamata. As if that has got repercussions. People are so interested to get her out of this yet the hold she has on the state by using all the gundas in the municipalities and the panchayats can’t be denied. You painted a comprehensive picture of the problem and I am so happy someone out there is voicing the problem going on here. There are segments of the state which we call “mini Bangladesh”: u don’t go there. Park circus is a good example of that. Idk how to counter this terrorism. It’s eating away at the heart and soul of the Bengali people and culture. We keep on hoping BJP would come and save us but TMC is using its police and gundas simultaneously to silence anybody who would speak up. They even track your GPS and send u into lockup

Why political parties choose to be so autocratic, if given a chance? Why do they rear vote banks? Do they follow an ostrich policy that keeping quiet will keep them safe from evil scorching eyes? Are they being selfish and lack any societal approach? Such questions keep haunting the community over centuries and yet they couldn't cultivate the fruits of Unity - even if shallow. Just Unite Once and Use EVMs Judiciously, to experience change and usher in a whole new world worth living. Strategic voting is the key.
