I think another clue as to Prof. Gellar being all in Travis's mind is that Dexter's after Travis (who's usually the real killer) and Miami Metro's after Prof. Gellar who's the can't-go-much-further-once-dexter's-killed-the-real-killer plot line... Why it could be 2 different people or DID is that the killing is different from the presentation - like Dexter said it's two people... But if you've seen United States of Tara you'd know DID isn't really one person playing two roles...

Love that your religious expert is Orthodox, but for personal reasons (I'm Orthodox & almost NO ONE knows what that is). I agree the Professor isn't real because no one is interacting with him. Also ADORE that Dexter is examining faith as an experience.

@reck1224 But see if Travis was a student of the Prof. he could still create him in his mind after the Prof.went underground... he could still be another part Travis that Travis developed in his mind unknowingly... the only thing that can't add up is how Travis got the sword...it's just a theory... United states of Tara (also showtime) had one of her DIDs have the personality of her guardian... The only thing is ... DIDs... is still them, looks like them, so this is more fight club-ish. perhaps?

@killakadafi77 I'm not pretending to be an expert. I just think it's lazy writing to have Travis come to the crime scene and act "weird" so that Dexter can single him out. I think it would've been more interesting to have Dexter track him down or something like that, but that's just me. It was a stupid thing for him to do because Dexter is now on to him.

I thought the numbers were page numbers for the bible. Though different versions maybe different.

... but it's actually 2 different people i.e. one is left handed other's right, one actually needs glasses, ones a man other's a woman - it's very f****d up and, naturally, fits right into Dexterverse

I personally didn't like the first two episodes of the season. Episode 3 and 4 was okay. I did like the angel death, but after they went too far with the CGI locusts. It wasn't convincing to me. Also seeing Colin Hanks smiling at the crime scene was idiotic. Now Dexter is on to Travis only because Travis went to the crime scene with an evil smile on his face. That smacks me as lazy writing and a stupid thing to do for the character of Travis. Mos Def is still the only interesting one for me.
