o wow! Ali... what an unlocking of understanding sujood at 15minute n onward. We are joining the universe the millions n billions of species and nature all that is living AND on top of that every limb of ours is joining us into submission (islam) towards the King of Universe.. O wow, never did we pay attention to such an important position. Every prophet fell on his face n prayed, its your 1on1 meeting with rabb in sujood n Our Lord is willing to listen to us n our prayers n reminded that we came from dust n joining w/ dust while prostrating. What an amazing Lord.. he has granting us(unworthy ones) attention, while he is ALLworthy one of ALL praise n attention.. O Allah, thank you for giving us this honor, this prayer, O Allah accept it from us N count us amongst the submitters (muslimeen).

Lecture notes ✍🏻 1. Before Ruku you should observe a small period of silence before your bowing, after surah you recite, end the surah and then observe the period of silence. ( sunnah of the prophet of Allah swt). 2. A companion said prophet saaw used to observe silence 2 times in a salah, one after the first takbeer Allah o Akbar( at the start of the prayer) and second when he finishes the recitation of 2nd surah, before ruku. 3. Allah swt said, “from our signs are the day and night and the sun and the moon so donot prostrate the sun or the moon”so Bow to no one for glorification except for Allah swt. If bowing is out of respect, majority of ulama said this is a sin, it is prohibited. 4. In ruku, place your fingers equidistant, hands spread out and creating space between your arms and your body and straighten your back as much as possible, dont arch it intentionally, head level with his back and look at the area of prostration. Ruku 1. Subhana Rabial Azeem ( How perfect is my lord, the magnificent) 3 times or more. We say Rabi, My Rub. To shwo closeness. Raise your head 1. SamiAllah Ho Leman Hamidah; Allah swt responds to those who praise him. 2. Rabana Walakal hamd; Oh our lord all prays belongs to you. We stand in this beautiful position and Allah swt allowed us to stand with our back staright, all prays belongs to Allah swt. 3. Rabana walakal hamd, Hamdan kaseeran Tayyaban mubrakam fee; ( Oh My lord all prays belings to you, abundant praise, pure prays, a blessed prays) Prostration ( The request part), Ultimate pillar 1. Ibn Al Qayyam said, everything before the sujood was the preparation of sujood. Introduction to sujood 1. Sujood you doing is a Part of a much bigger system around you that do sujood to Allah swt, the universe around you. You have joined them. 2. Allah swt said; dont you see everything in the heavens and earth prostrate to Allah, so does sun and the moon, so did thr starts and the mountains, so did the trees and the moving creatures, and so do many people. ( ya salaam) 3. The best ever anxiety removing therapy out there in the world, the best you can do, is the sajdah, release your burdens in sujood. 4. Allah swt said”Glorify the praise of your lord and be of those who prostrate”. 5. This is the nearest you can be to Allah swt. The closest that you can be is in sajdah. So make abundant dua. 6. Creates anxiety to shaiytan. Hurts him, destroys him. 7. You want to become closer to prophet saaw so do more prostration. 8. Prophet saaw once told a sahabi” what do you want, make your request, he said i want your companionship in jannah, prophet saaw said, then help me fulfill your request by doing lots and lots of sujood”. 9. Not only your head prostrate but your entire body goes into prostration showing your entire body belongs to the Rab ul Alameen. Your body is amanh to you for s shorty period of time, so don’t do things with it you want, rather do things that Allah swt has commanded because it belongs to Allah swt. 10. Tell him everything, as friend, tell him whatever you might have in your life. JazakAllah o khair.

In the subcontinent, the prayer of men and women are different only in bowing and prostration that the women are advised not to straighten their back in bowing and keep their body squeezed in prostration. Please also highlight if this is the authentic or permissible way or not.
