A few comments here are not pleasant as they seem to deride the efforts of the camp. Perhaps some information is missing. If this system is based on competition then only the best get the shirt. But it seems that it is based on individual improvement and accomplishment. If the fellows who run the camp have that factored into their system then even a weak student can become great. Listen to the words of the founder of the camp. This camp's goal is to create in each individual the ability to push themselves past the level that their mind is tricking them into saying "stop, enough, give up." A good coach brings his wrestlers to this point without a 28 day boot camp. For the coaches that can not, the boys can really use such a camp. For the boys who can not afford to go to the camp, it is sad, and hopefully there is some allowance or scholarship available. As an individual sport, it should not become just a rich man's sport. That would be vary sad. Lucky for me, in my younger years I also worked so I was able to buy my own shoes and stuff. But, there was no help from home, forget it. We were lucky to have a leaky roof and a bed that we did not always have to share. So, every day I ran the 3 miles to school, early in the morning so that I could hit the weights an hour before school started. After wrestling, it was leisurely run back home, at least it was a little bit downhill. All the best to the young, hard working guys (and gals now) who keep up the wrestling tradition.

The only thing that bothers me is what happens if there's a kid who doesn't measure up. His dna is such that he's slow or physically challenged. Do you accept this kid anyway and his parents $2800 and tell the kid screw you and watch him be depressed antagonizing him showing the physically fit kids who are naturally better than him receiving all the accolades . I urge parents to consider very hard whether or not to release $2800. Ask your son(s) if they want to go through this. Yes, make this mandatory for trouble some boys.
@MrWatcher45457 жыл бұрын
joseph dunn no kid is forced to go here and if they are i guess the term you used "dna challenged" which probably isnt a thing idk they are going to do the best they possibly can just as everyone else
@respeezy6 жыл бұрын
The harder your struggle the more it will build your character. Maybe a challenged kid will never graduate the camp. But maybe he will still grow from the experience and accept life, that not everyone can do what they want that you can give everything and still come up short. And realise its not about the outcome but the road. I speak from experience, there is a moment where you change when you realize you will never realize your dream and you can say fuck it im still going to give it my all even without the recogition of others or accomplishments. embrace the grind!

Question: in these areas are operators controlling instructors and coaches, because some of them showed symptoms of sadism more or less hidden. (The instructor and the young blond gay black for example). Video from some boys suffered much to perform the exercises. Coaches and instructors were screaming like mad (had?) against them. Let us remember that boys are NOT slaves. Someone was interested in the psyco-psysical state of these young people??? A mont of field-trials are long to pass !!!
@EzioCovone8 жыл бұрын
+Luca International This question is why todays youth are such wimps. I did this camp twice when I was 14 and 15. I believe that this camp helped me become the man I am today! AT NO POINT IN TIME did I feel like I was a "slave". These kids chose to go to this camp, which means that they can also can choose to leave! They had doctors and trainers on site at all times, if someone was hurt then their needs were met. This is not a prison camp. You called it "sadism"? Are you a psychologist? Sadism - the tendency to derive pleasure, especially sexual gratification, from inflicting pain, suffering, or humiliation on others. That assumption is ridiculous! Who are you assuming is gay? Are you saying that the coaches are gaining sexual gratification by pushing athletes to better themselves? By reading your comment I can safely assume that you have never been pushed by others to better yourself, have you?

@VengefulLeprechauns8 жыл бұрын
+Devin Covone I agree with most of your comments but the part were if you're hurt your needs are met. HA! The head trainer is the biggest peice of fucking horseshit I've ever met do medicine. I got some kind of flu the last day and was throwing up and having diarrhea every 30 minutes and that fucker acted like I was pussying out and was a total prick to me, and did absolutely nothing to help while I felt like I was dying. I've never actually wanted to murder someone until I met that guy. Quality care my fucking ass. I hope he got hit by a bus, nothing would make me happier.
@swankmaster21786 жыл бұрын
This dude's never wrestled before. Once you've gone into that 99° wrestling room with sweatpants and a crewneck with the sleeves taped so you can keep all that precious heat. And you're hot and starving and exhausted you just want to quit. You change from that, wrestling instills a work ethic I didn't know I could have. I've always wanted to go spec ops and I was worried I couldn't do it. I was also worried i couldn't pick up my buddy - weighs 3 pounds more than me and run 200 metres under a minute. Bitch I did it in 30 seconds. I'm going spec ops and wrestling will do it for me, catch me on pararescue in the near future.
