[ep.2] New Years in Taiwan: Taichung, Qingjing Farm + Skywalk, Sun Moon Lake | Mini Retirement VLOG

Thanks Siying for an awesome trip! I miss you so much already omg.
Today as we were walking along the skywalk, I thought of the time my mom asked me why I was so obsessed with Korea , since there are a lot of other beautiful places in the world to explore. And I realized that I need to stop clinging and be open to the big beautiful world! But then again, I don’t think I have enough energy/motivation to learn any more new languages hahaha… And I’m guess I’m more sad about the people I’m leaving… 😭😭😭
The food has been really good so far, but I am already in need of kimchi hahaha! The first week we went hard with traveling/day trips/eating, but the second week feeling a bit too tired so we did a lot of chilling and eating other kinds of food. xD This trip made me realize that I probably could not live in Taiwan because I started craving other foods so quickly! But it really did have so many beautiful places and good food!
OMG we had so much fun making all the Harry Potter references and quotes hahaha cackled with laughter! I love not being able to stop laughing at the tiniest things hehe. I feel like one reason I never felt the urge to go to Japan while living in Korea is that the two trips I already took before really can’t be beat. I wish I had vlogs of that time when I visited Siying while she lived in Japan~~. I remember laughing like crazy while singing Into the Unknown (we heard the Japanese version everywhere, and I remember I was in Siying’s bathroom when I actually read the English lyrics and they made me cry) and doing the anti-tech neck stretches that give you a really bad double chin. Really grateful that we’re adults now with the time, money, and energy to travel. 🥺 I love you! 🙆🏻‍♀️
I think during the second week of the trip the reality of leaving my school and saying bye to my students hit me so I started feeling sad. Thanks for bearing with me!
