Thanks for sharing another trip. Beautiful camping spot and scenery. You look right at home on the 800. Along with others I think it’s great you’ve been recognised for the quality content you are creating. Keep up the great work 👍🇦🇺

Cheers mate 🙏, after about an hour, I felt right at home on the 800. I was exhausted by the end of the day with the additional weight, it's approximately 70kg heavier than the DRZ. I really appreciate your comment mate, thank you.

thank mate, much appreciated. the v-Strom is a pretty incredible machine, tad heavy but it was a lot of fun on the trails.

Love the colour scheme of V-Strom. That was nice of Suzuki Australia to loan you the bike. Another well presented video. A nice mix of aspects like the drone, ride bys and around the camp.❤ Keep up the great work.👍 Stay safe Darrel RtB

cheers mate, I really appreciate your comment :). I reckon the grey, yellow and black is my favourite colour scheme from the 3 to choose from for the V-strom. It was extremely generous of Suzuki Australia to loan me that bike for this adventure, Hopefully I'll be able to borrow it again soon :).

@@Tales_Of_Moto_Adventures you do a good job with your videos so my comments are justified.😃 I have a mate with a black and yellow V-Strom, he was thinking of getting his crash bars powdered coated yellow. I reckon that would look awesome 👌

Thumbs up to Suzuki for lending you the 800E . Personally have a DRZ , can't ever envisage selling it, it definitely fills a gap in my riding style. Sadly I bought a different brand in the larger to mid style bike . Rode near 900 klm last weekend and definitely found it's limitations in the High Country.

They are a great bunch of people. I'm forever grateful. I do love my drz, I also think I will be keeping it long term. I'll be doing a few mods very soon. 900km is a good trip, I say your post on Facebook, if it's the bike I am thinking about, you can't disconnect the abs on the rear. It's a real shame as it is an awesome bike. Have you looked at wiring a cut off switch to the rear abs fuse. I've seen it done on a few xsr's and other bikes.
@Tales_Of_Moto_Adventures10 ай бұрын
Looking at your trip photos again, I just realised what bike you have. I initially thought you had a triumph tiger. Disregard abs bypass comment :).

Never knew a new v was being released, was looking at a klr if I buy a new bike but these look promising. Would need a bigger front windscreen for touring but worth checking out I think. Great area down in tallarook, need to get down there again and it’s not hard being a hour or two down the Hume. Enjoyable ep man, and great to see a simple minimalist camp set up, best way to do it.
@Tales_Of_Moto_Adventures10 ай бұрын
Cheers mate, let us know when you make the trip. the DE was released not long ago, If I had a choice between the KLR and 800DE, I'd take the DE all day everyday, It is more on par with the T7. I was super impressed with how nimble it was. It has so many features including switchable traction control, 3 road mode, one gravel and off. throttle curve selection. you can turn off the rear abs as well. that engine is really awesome too, it puts out around 80hp and is really smooth. There is even an option for a bigger screen too :). minimal set is my favourite type of setup and also with a bike that size I had to go minimal, 230kg is a lot of weight already, I come in at 70kg with all my gear on.
@budget-adventure10 ай бұрын
@@Tales_Of_Moto_Adventures ah okay. Was wondering how far off road you could go with it. My simple test would be could you jump off a spoon drain with my fat arse and 20kg of gear ha ha. Yeah I know most all round adventure bikes won’t. It’s finding the balance of comfortable touring and then getting to the forest and hitting the trails. I hear a lot of praise for the t7 and it touches most bases but I’m not spending 20k on a bike. If the v800 is built to be like a t7 then it’s worth checking out

I'm watching it and I can't wait for spring. it's winter in Poland and it's about 0 degrees Celsius. apart from that, the motorcycle is disassembled because it is waiting for service and unfortunately I have a problem with the availability of parts.
@Tales_Of_Moto_Adventures10 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching 🙏. Where I live we are very lucky, we can ride all year around, it get cold and wet but we only get snow high up in the mountains. Do the roads get cover in salt in Poland for winter? They do that in a few countries where it gets really cold.
@kammosPL10 ай бұрын
@@Tales_Of_Moto_Adventures yes, they put salt on the roads, but it can still be slippery and dangerous. I only ride on asphalt when the temperature is above zero.
@Tales_Of_Moto_Adventures10 ай бұрын
@kammosPL that would definitely still be really dangerous. With the salt, I would worry about the bike rusting quicker. You mentioned you are waiting for parts for you bike, what mods are you doing?
@kammosPL10 ай бұрын
rust can actually be a problem, especially when it's frost and snow and sometimes rain. As for the motorcycle, I service the oil, filter, tires and brakes. As it turns out, I can't buy a brake disc for my motorcycle. Part are no longer produced and cannot be purchased.

Are you using saddle stay for side bags?
@Tales_Of_Moto_Adventures8 ай бұрын
Hey mate, no I did not use saddle stay for these bags. The akin moto bags in this video have heaps of attachment points on the back, making it very easy to attach and secure. I have since switched to the Giant Loop Coyote saddle bag.

How does the VStrom compare to the DR? Were you more comfortable?
@Tales_Of_Moto_Adventures10 ай бұрын
Hey mike, good to see you back :), it's a different animal all together, the 800DE is super smooth, packed with features and very nimble, but you do feel that weight on the tighter or harder trails. I do not have the DRZ setup for comfort so the 800DE definitely took the win on comfort :). I have a video on my thoughts about the 800DE coming out very soon :)
