What your looking for, is IMO Floor in her former band Revamp doing the song Disdain live at Graspop 2010. A performance with a lot of nice surprises.......

excellent choices you have made to explore this growl death metal genre. This song by Nightwish was written and composed by keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen. The song was made in response to all the anonymous trolls on the internet. a long FYI to those spreading hate and ill will. By the way, Tuomas himself is not a fan of growl, but it fits perfectly with this song. In the song, Marko sings cleanly and Floor is the growling one.

I tend to agree with you when it comes to the growling thing. I'm not a fan when it replaces singing altogether. When it complements the singing, that's a different story. To be honest though, Floor and Nightwish can do no wrong in my eyes.

Looking forward to your other reactions this week & especially to Amorphis, one of my favorite bands. Nightwish only has limited growling, but when they use it, it is always to underline the lyrics.

Not the best song to hear Floor growling IMO, as Marko's voice is constantly in the mix as well, a better song is probably from her "Revamp" days at the Graspop concert, singing "Disdain".

@@robertsheeler321 The studio version of Misery's no Crime is not Floor growling though. That's Mark Jansen (Epica). On live shows it was her.

Great reaction. Anyway, can i request your reaction to superb band from japan? The band is call "Lovebites" They all The Beautiful Queens Metal band right now in the earth. They are really really World class musicians. Phenomenal. And they have a lot die hard fans too. The song is "We are the Resurrection" Hope you check out, and can enjoy it too. Big thanks🙏

I am also not a fan of growling, or severely distorted "singing" Jinger, and some Epica songs are just not for me. Nightwish use of growling is much more limited, and Floor's and her bandmates growling in her prior bands are not too much for me.

There are 2 things I hate... growling and Waldhof Mannheim (hostile football club). But when Floor stands on stage, gets wild and growls, I find it almost sexy. You have Simone (princess), Tarja (queen), and Floor (goddess) in your program this week. In this comparison you will also see why only Floor deserves the title of a goddess - she can do everything!
