From Florida USA I have to say you are the mut amazing couple in KZbin working on such labor-intensive project with such of positive and fun attitude that is contagious. Every Friday after work I have to grab some beer and I look forward to watching your new video, I love boats and seen a really historic beautiful boat been bring back to her glory is amazing to watch I hope I can watch the full restoration to completion. I pray to God to give you lots of health and strength to let you finish the project so we, all the subscribers and followers can see her back in her glory.

I am in Florida, 79 years old, did frame houses for a while and have had lots of small to medium size fishing boats. My first boat, as a teenager, was an 8 foot dingy, made from plywood and then fiber glassed. I love watching this amazing couple save this very special old boat.

Moving along nicely. I remember, at the beginning, thinking it was going to be forever before you guys got her in ship shape. Even if it's watching the same kind of work over multiple episodes, it never gets boring because every web frame is different from the next one over and you two are entertaining. One of my top favorite channels to watch, and I look forward to each new episode.

With the storm coming and you were lying safely on the mud, well go back 50 years my mate and I bought a derelict ship's lifeboat to do up, moved on 3 years and we finished it and now we had a dive boat we could stay on, cook on, and was warm out of the rain. Whitby had just built Endeavour Marina and we got a birth on it, in fact we were the second boat on the moorings, off we set down the canal at the back of Leeds City Station, down the canal to Goole locks and out into the Humber, the piles for the Humber Bridge were just coming out of the water, next thing as we trundled along a dense fog bank came rolling up the river, one of the divers from our club had volunteered to come with us and he was driving and he started sailing in all directions until the boat slid onto a mudbank, it was midnight so all we could do was wait until the tide came back, I looked over the side and we were 10 ft above any water sat on a mud bank. Listening to the midnight 33 shipping forecast it was force 8 Humber and we sat there all night and never moved, floated off on the next tide and spent the day in the Fruit dock in HUll then set off again, the next leg to Whitby was even more adventures!

A couple of days to catch up on the previous episodes, and I've never missed one since. It's been a pleasure to watch you two. It's been brilliant. The ups and downs of rebuilding Sarinda have made us one big family, and that has only been possible because of you two. Take great joy in your professionalism, your uniqueness, and the fun you have had along the way. It wouldn't be the same with anyone else, and you definitely will hit 200K in the next 12 months. That's a certainty. I commend you both x

I would like to see Simon tear the old wind turbine apart to determine if it is rebuildable. That would be GREAT content because we don't often get a chance to see Simon's mechanical skills. Likely, new turbine blades are available for the old unit that may reduce vibration substantially.💖

Hi Guy's, I must say that laminating wood is the ducks guts in bending and adding strength. It's been used every where in buildings and products these days to use as much material with less waste I guess. There is no way I could get my wife to play in the mud with me dude, no way. The things you two do to get this ship build done is awesome such as playing in the mud, cleaning the bilge and just getting stuck in to get the job done. You two are an inspiration to anyone who has a project to do. Love been entertained and watching the build progress. Cheers

When I were a wee laddie both of my parents worked 3 rotating shifts, so my brother and I had to learn "survival" skills like cooking, cleaning, washing clothes, and dishes , changing light bulbs, lighting the fireplace, and mending the fuses etc, etc. I can even remember often paying the rent when the landlord came around when Mum or Dad were asleep or at work. We were dirt poor but happy, with lots of time outdoors so we wouldn't disturb sleeping parents. Cheers Eric

Well done chaps, that reclaimed flooring looked to dry being flooring was engineered not to warp. One thing you can give a go is to warm the timber to about 40 C before you bend. A steam chest was what was used for none laminates but a heat gun evenly applied will assist the bend to be set. My experience was Themes barges but similar applies. Knees will go in with a little scarf plate. Great job.. Anchor, use a shackle to stop fretting the line. This is a good year for you. Tools, Look up Square head Coach screw sockets, Websters in Birkenhead (opposite Toolstation A41) will probably have them but they are not the cheapest. Finally a tip which I hope you never need. Skin fittings, make up wooden taper plug to stuff in the hole in an emergency, tie to the stringer. Wrapping fittings in Denso tape helps stop corrosion, messy but it works.

Those opening shots reminded me of a couple of scaffolders. The way the wood was flexing as you walked was hilarious but, it must be annoying, seeing how far, and the terrain that you have to navigate. All is well, the wood arrived safely and you're both in one piece. Cant help wondering if Gemma's knee pains might be as a result of screwing the new anchor down, and on the mud too. Hoping her knee recovers well. Yes there was much talk about knees - of various kinds - in this episode, and much progress too. I liked the shot of the new fore deck from the vantage point of the wheelhouse roof, magnificent work.Happy new year and well done both. The KZbin award is very well deserved!!

I have some fuse wire like that in my collection and occasionally I get to replace it in the dark of a damp cellar by torch light and contrary to popular opinions there are still lots of houses that still have rubber insulated lead covered wire or even worse cotton covered wire that is more or less bare conductors it is so rotten! So fuse wire is something I still rarely have to use just to get things running before I condemn the entire houses wiring!

I'm one of about six that have made the observation re clamping up your laminated frames, use a flexible ( or curved to match the frame ) packer beneath the foot of the clamp so that your not applying all the pressure at one point. This can be wrapped in Gladwrap so it wont get glued up then removed later with the clamp. Good to see you made the decision to add a packer beneath the elbow instead of cutting into the beam shelf. I am really enjoying your videos, well done!

I've been thinking you two should be in the movies, and I thought of the song by Buck Owens. He was a country and western music singer. He had a song, All I Gotta Do is Act Naturally. So, I just started to rewrite the song with you two in mind. I dabble with doing that stuff sometimes, and I'm inspired by your videos. Here's what I've written so far. They're gonna put me in the movies. We're gonna see what a big ship, can happen to be. Our boat was beat up sad and lonely, but me and Gen, all we gotta do is, act naturally. That's all I've got so far. How is the beginning my critics?
