I would make a plywood template from the steel one to keep as a reference, saves tracing the tank if you make anymore or similiar ones in the future.

Love the series mate! One of my favourite fabrication tools in my shed is a stump with a small bowl shape carved in for shrinking and the old tear drop! Decent sandbag too. Need to get myself a shrinker and stretcher though to save time, any tips for the English wheel??
