The biggest difference in a standard E30 touring in noise was in my memory if the luggage cover was open or closed. I also remember the iX 325 touring being noticably quieter then a rear driven 325i touring. I wonder what that had to do with? Anyway great job, wonderful overkill. 👏

I also remember closing the cover to drown out the exhaust! I’ll be making sure the spare wheel well and around the exhaust area gets extra sound proof padding. That I know of the diesel tourings had extra sound deadening in the dash and centre console. I may revisit that area too

Nice. Did my old style defender, closed cell foam over the top, game changer. Don’t forget the roof!

Looks good. Will you be adding anything on top of this or to other parts of the car like doors ? Also will you be using any cavity wax (think that's what's it called in english) on this car ?

Thanks! Yes will be doing the doors and more in the boot pockets too. I will be cavity waxing the car once i have it at my friends car ramp

How many packs of insulation you bought? 1 or more? 1 pack has 34 sheets? Correct? I have E36 Compact, no idea how many square meters it is.

2 packs dude, comes to 6.8sqm. Used about 1 1/2 packs so far but still have a bit to do including the doors etc
