I have so missed your videos! Hoping you were having a nice summer break. But the work on this part of the fountain mosaic is incredible. So loving the process! 🙏💕

I know making these videos and especially editing is a pain. I just wanted to mention each episode I’ve learned some valuable tips. I’ve come to realize the bad habit of precutting bits of glass, trying jigsaw them whenever they might fit, is NOT the way to go. I love to watch how you take the strips of glass and cut them into place. I get there but huge time saver! It may seem simple to most but an “Ahh ha” moment for me. Thank you so much. 🌸

Depends on the project. Occasionally I precut an inventory of pieces to choose from.

good catch on the shadow! I just made my first cat and the shadows were a challenge. BTW, where are your shoes young lady!!!

I know, right?!? Shadows can make or break it!

Julie, what adhesive are you using on the mesh/stained glass? This is quite a task and you are an inspiration.

Thanks so much. I am using thinset.

@@mazzonimosaics8222 I appreciate your answering. I know you must be a busy lady with that project. Good luck and I will keep up with it. It is beautiful.

I always love when you show some of your work in real time- I’d especially like to see how you cut the pieces for the lilies. Do you eyeball the pieces or use contact paper to trace?
@mazzonimosaics82222 ай бұрын
I've been eyeballing the pieces. They are a bit off from the design, but the scale is the same.

Every time I watch I'm just in awe. When you remove loose pieces in order to start adhering, what surface do you set them on? My pieces get so jumbled that they don't go back they way I originally laid them out. 🙃

You are too kind! I just set them on whatever I have that is mobile. Lately I've been using waffle paper that my glass came with. Sometimes I use little boards.

Oh my gosh! The basket is gorgeous! Fabulous job! How did you cut the pieces to fit around the basket vertical lines? Wondering how you cut an oval into the side of a piece. Thanks for sharing your work with us. So enjoyable! Hugz, Tree
@mazzonimosaics82222 ай бұрын
Thank you! I start with straight strips the same width and cut each into three pieces. Then I nipped to fit the curve, which was very slight. I used my wheeled nippers to take a bite out of the edges where the vertical lines are.
