As a doctor I never leave a dead patient's responsibility nly on nurses n ward boys,it's a doc's duty to present there until the body is shifted or if my duty gets ovr I'll inform the nxt doctor onduty regarding the dead patient.

I was in Sion Hospital for a month with my wife. She was patient. (Original name : Lokmannya Tilak Hospital) This hospital handled more than 500 patient in a day when there was blast in local train in 2006, just 1 month after we left the hospital. This is Municipal corporation run hospital cum medical college. I met a person there, he told me that 10 year ago his wife was serious due to brain di dseace. All big hospital rejected the patient saying nothing can be done. But, in Sion Hospital she was treated with surgery and then become completely normal. More patient die in this hospital because when private hospital says nothing can be done, this hospital treat these patients till either death or recovery. I seen there death of many patients besides bed of my wife. She was in coma. Later she died at my home. At 2 o clock night, tinage girl do packing of dead bodies. For me it was horrible. But. They do the job like a their routine.

Being a doctor myself ..i cannot put the total blame on the semi literate ward boys . The nurse as well as the resident medical officer on duty should have made sure to be present when the ward boys had come to pack the corpse !
