Their size differential is so noticeable now. Can’t believe so many feathers are there on Lluvia. And what a glutton today grabbing and gulping huge mouthfuls. Lil Trueno still needs help. If these chicks were 3 days apart, I can’t wait to see future clips dated a few more days ahead. One raptor site familiar with these European eagles noted that the first born is more often female. I noticed the feminine “a” at end of her name. While males are typically smaller and note that Trueno ends in “o” the masculine ending. So I wonder if there is something to this. The first chick is noticeably larger to me. What say you?

Great insight! I agree. You can also draw the same conclusion by looking at the plumage colors. Females tend to be brown and males white.

@ oh! I have been wondering why Trueno is so light colored…if he was almost a leucistic eagle (or hawk) like one here in the US! You just solved that mystery for me! Thank you. I’m enjoying these booted eagles so much.
