Joel is a superior guitarist. With Deen and Jeff, they are a great combination. Keeping rock alive. Great interview.

Joel has more versed technique than Doug. Doug for some reason i hear more ‘feel’ in his play when u compare both players when they were in Whitesnake… come to think of it Reb seemed to have more variety to his play than Doug as well. But still really like Doug’s play. It’s great no one is comparing lame stuff like who’s faster… like the 80s/early 90s. just different flavors of ice cream.

Terrible, no more bands but brands. Today's metal scene is just too incestious. Everybody is in three b(r)ands and five side projects at the same time. It's all become a sad joke. Hoekstra is a good player, but is lacking identity in his playing. Great players are instantly recogniceable, Hoekstra is not. He is all hair and posing. Just a hired gun, who will musically neither be missed nor remembered in the future. ACCEPT is Udo, Jörg Fischer and Peter Baltes. Wolf Hoffmann is just a business man posing as a metal guitarist. His ex wife Gabi Hauke was the the band's manager. She stole the Accept name from Udo with a legal trick. Today's incarnation of the brand is basically nothing but the name.

these dudes have to make a living… unless you hit it big with one band… you gotta be on different projects. The younger bands just aren’t the same as these ‘old guys’ (i’m their age). Altho i like Eddie VH’s kid’s group.

Dude, Jorg did very little for Accept. If anything Stefan Kauffman is the one who contributed after Hoffmann and Baltes. Hoffmann wrote all the famous songs. Same goes for Megadeth, Mustaine without Friedman IMHO is a mediocre guitar player who plays chromatic runs. Idk
