Ep.3: Route of the 7 Lakes and San Martín de los Andes [to Puerto Montt, Chile] • PATAGONIA 4x4

We left the charming town of San Martín de Los Andes along the legendary Ruta 40 passing through the beautiful Route of the 7 Lakes.
We had lunch at a family restaurant in Villa Traful, on the edge of a beautiful lake and at the foot of the Andes Mountains.
We made the exciting border crossing on the Paso Cardenal Samore. We almost couldn't get through, as customs was closed! We were the last cars to make it across to Chile that day!
We see the Osorno volcano on the way to Puerto Montt, which will be our gateway to the Carretera Austral.
