Ep. 3: Tony Reyes Cabrilla Fishing!

It is really hard to put into words how unique this fishery is! From shallow water grouper and free swimming mini yellowtail everywhere, to the rock formations and landscape, to beautiful animals in and out of the water in every direction you look!
The Sea of Cortez is such an incredible place to visit, and I am truly grateful for every second I was able to experience this place, and the fishing was just a bonus! Tony Reyes Fishing Tours is a trip I would highly recommend everyone tries to check off their bucketlist!
Crazy to think that we're 3 episodes in, and we are barely finished with the first day of fishing!
Some of these upcoming episodes are going to be some interesting ones, but they made for a great story!

Some people just don’t understand. We were releasing ours, but if someone catches it and it’s legal to keep, it’s up to them to do with it as they want.

7:55 -- Are you allowed to troll from the mothership? I noticed here that all the pangas are being towed around which probably messes up any chances for trolling. But if there aren't any fish going after trolling lures then I guess there's no point.

You’ll catch a lot of fish while trolling. Yellowtail, bonito, Sierra mackerel, and even cabrilla. But that’s all on pangas. I don’t think you can troll off the mothership. The pangas are usually being towed behind the boat, and when they’re not being towed, they’re actually on the lower deck.

@@seansimmons7683 San Felipe has some incredible fishing too! We used to go when I was little and I remember having some insane days out there with a local pangera! I really wanna go back and fish San Felipe again

me personally I would the black diamond series it is much more better quality for its price

The abyss 808 paired with a saltist 20 would be a really fun light bait set up! I do personally like the black diamonds too, but the black diamond is a really stiff rod. The Abyss has a lot more give to absorb headshakes better with light line.

I have the Abyss 809. Love it. I pair it with my Lexa 400 and my Cavalla 5N.
