You don't need to feel less Indian if you don't know hindi, you don't need to feel less Indian if you don't like Bollywood, you don't need to feel less Indian if you don't sing Bollywood songs, you don't need to feel less Indian even if you admit that Northeast India was never part of the historic India, you don't need to feel less Indian even if you don't like maggi. We can be different yet we can respect our differences and get along as one nation. Jai Hind! I speak hindi fluently but I feel for those who feel discriminated or forced to learn hindi to prove their nationality. I enjoy some Bollywood songs and movies but I know some people have different taste in music or popular culture and we must respect them. We must not make them feel excluded just because they have different taste.

Though it would've been great if you visited during the Hornbill Festival(1-10 December annually) and experienced the cultural diversities and intricacies at its best exposure, it's still Nagaland so I'm hoping you won't be disappointed.😁 You must have your bucket list ready for the trip and I guess you've considered this place, but I would just be a proud Naga here and suggest you the "Dzükou Valley."
