I love love LOVE all of the Halloween projects. I just had to check them all out, thank you for sharing! I didn't even know that you had a blog, so I checked that out too. Buddy Bear 2.0 is so adorable!! I need to make myself a Patchy Bear sometime in the future. I am eager to work up the head, it looks particularly interesting in the way you designed it. I need to get my hands on some kawaii safety eyes. I've been 👀 them out for a while now. When you mentioned, "if you are into making mini amigurumis . . . ", I was like, "YES! That's me at the moment 🖐" and then you mentioned "Stitch a dee doo doll", I was like, "that name sounds familiar". It took me a moment . . .😅😂🤣🙃 but I eventually got there 😁. Where to start when you have created so many amigurumi creatures. I’m not a Halloween fan. I live in the uk and I’ve noticed how much more prolific Halloween is becoming, but I still haven’t got the ‘bug’. This may change as my granddaughter gets older, as I will do anything for her, but for now, I’ll give it a miss. However, I adore your talented work and I can still admire your creations, especially when you add such charming features. I loved your buddy bear at the end with his pumpkin hat……super cute! I loved the cat bat at the beginning also. Your work is outstanding.

Thanks, Marion 💕 Because we've not grown up with Halloween, I dont't think I'd ever really get into it. Which is also why I would only ever make happy, cute Halloween projects 😁 And that's why buddy bear only got a pumpkin, because I won't be able to make him look creepy 🐻🥰

We were the same in England, Cassandra. Up to about 10/20 years ago, there was just a bit of trick or treating but no decorations. We are being Americanized, though. I don't mind crochet trinkets but I am concerned about the amount of plastic that comes with Halloween decorations! I'm a bit of a green queen and have a tendency to complain about the overuse of plastics. Sorry! BUT I adore your characters. They're fantastic.

Hi Pamela, I'm with you on all the plastics, and it does seem to increase with many other holidays as well. Over here (and in South Africa) there is next to no decorating, just a bit of dress up at schools and a few halloween looking sweets and chocolates. But I did enjoy making the mini amis a lot, and definitely want to do the same for Christmas 🌟🎄

@@craftablyeverafter absolutely. I'm anti-plastic and pro-crochet! I'm thinking of making some tiny amigurumi "random acts of crochet kindness" to hand out with the sweets. I reckon I can knock out a lot of mini ghosts, bats, spiders, etc!
