Yes. I was working up on the roof of our house and was descending the ladder when it decided to slide sideways. I fell and dislocated all my tarsometatarsal bones and gave myself a compound fracture with some others in my left foot. Looks like I’m down for at least six weeks. Plenty of uTube time. It’s nice to be caught up. We were hoping to go to Quartzite this year, but I think we are grounded for a while. Ram

We found Mammoth Cave NP to be extremely interesting. I recommend a visit if anyone is in that area. Looks you are heading close to where we call home. Enjoy Natchez (you probably already have) and stay safe.
@GrandAdventure2 ай бұрын
Thank you George, and we agree! The Trace down to Natchez was a wonderfully relaxing voyage. We split that journey across the next three episodes, to be followed by one from Natchez itself during the Balloon Festival. We've since been through Louisiana, Arkansas, a tiny corner of Missouri, and Oklahoma. We're now in Dodge City, KS heading slowly westward.

NPP, if you haven't yet made it to Carlsbad Caverns in NM, you must. The natural entrance there is huge, and you get to watch the cave unfold as you go deeper and deeper. The rooms are positively unimaginable in their scale and features.

Thanks, Charles. I'm shocked actually, for I was really unhappy with the underground shots. As I told the Premiere chatters, I don't (yet) have a fast enough lens for those super low-light shots. I may have to rectify that this winter, but good low-light lenses ain't cheap.

Thanks Marc... Very peaceful on the lake you were kayaking. Great campsite you located in the Mammoth Cave vicinity. I know, it isn't easy to get the scale of things within a cave environment. Scenes tend to look upside down and fragmented. But you did a great job of selecting the video images that best translated the views and scenes as they were meant to be seen. It's one if those things where you had to be there to get the real impact. I enjoyed hearing the history behind the various cave entrances from the different landowners perspectives. The Natchez Trace should be interesting to see next week, as well. 😊 Gord
@GrandAdventure2 ай бұрын
You'll actually get 3 episodes to cover the entire Natchez Trace: Part 1 will be the Tennessee portion, while Part 2 will be Alabama to Tupelo. Part 3 will be Tupelo to Natchez, then one more episode on Natchez itself.

Thanks, Stephen! Good eye. I was wondering if anyone would notice that. Yes, not only are the recliners peeling, but so is the loveseat -- and that was already replaced by KZ when it was still under warranty and I noticed cracking forming at that time. Needless to say, I'm far less than impressed by Lippert's Thomas Payne line. We're planning to replace both at some point this winter, and unfortunately that's going to be costly.
