Something about your videos are so refreshing compared to most of what else is out there. Must be the voice haha keep it up! I just upgraded my Zeb to the 3.1 and did the full open compression and rebound front/rear and I’m loving it! Only one ride so far but it was awesome. E-bikes are a great tool especially as a dad. You get used to the weight real fast if you keep using it. Or get a lightweight full power like the amflow or giant trance x adv elite, it’s a game changer.
@SpencerAstraPOVАй бұрын
I do think I'm getting used to the weight! It's taking quite a bit of time though. That 3.1 is so fast I've even slowed the rebound down a click or two on occasion for certain bikes! It's awesome! I'm trying to get one for my personal bike. I've still go the 3 on mine.
@bearjewmtb4827Ай бұрын
@ you know you can upgrade the 3.0 to the 3.1 with a $75 kit. It’s not too bad.
@SpencerAstraPOVАй бұрын
@@bearjewmtb4827 I actually didn't know that, that's good beta
@bearjewmtb4827Ай бұрын
@ yep only $75. If you do your own damper service it’s easy, otherwise quick job for a shop.

Ballsy trail to ride with those conditions! Spencer is just that talented y’all, the goat on wet tech

Yeah, the e bike is making my riding decisions more questionable. Easier to get to the good stuff... and thanks! But I would never claim GOAT status in this town 😅

Spencer I’m coming off of an assegai and I ride mostly steep dry trails. I wanna get a radial tire, should I go for a Albert or a Mary, I don’t care what I weighs.
@SpencerAstraPOVАй бұрын
The Alberts should be great for the dry. Those tires are awesome. Maybe purple front orange back?

Sick eeb ride!! 🤙 Hopefully you can try the new the shuttle Lt with the Bosch race motor. Interested in seeing what you think of it! I just picked one up and love it. 👌

I had the same experience with the t type drive train. Setup up exactly how SRAM says completely to spec torque on everything, but on bit hits, the cage still slams forward. Had Fanatik look at it too to make sure I wasn’t crazy.
@SpencerAstraPOVАй бұрын
What did Fanatik say? Maybe I'm just a victim of a bigger problem!

at the 4:05 mark, is there a gopro affect going on here? because it looks pretty steep in the video. If its steeper...oh my.
@SpencerAstraPOVАй бұрын
I'd say that part gives you a pretty good sense of the grade. I'm usually paying full attention on that part!

Yeah I do prefer the Shuttle for sure.

It's a GoPro Hero 12 with the max lens mod 2.0 on! Mounted to my chin.

Do you think the AM is sufficient for most the stuff you ride vs the new Bosch LT? You compared thinking you'd like your analog Firebird over the AM for some of those sections but do you think the LT fitting the Firebird geo and specs a bit more would compliment you more? I'm having a hard time deciding between the AM and LT since there's not much info on the new LT yet. Most people say mullet and long travel is the way to go for e-bikes. I'm not super sendy but enjoy the blacks here in front range CO and don't wanna have fomo on going AM vs LT unless there's good reason considering the fine margin in price difference between the two.
@SpencerAstraPOVАй бұрын
I think I need to try the LT before I comment confidently, but I will say - for my riding style - wanting to be able to have a good amount of control over the bike the Shuttle AM has been fantastic. I think the trail I rode here was almost a worst case scenario for the Shuttle AM (just the additional weight and lower rear travel) and it still felt pretty good. However, maybe with more travel I would be able to just lean back and plow. I just rode the bike with the Schwalbe Shredda tires front and rear and they do add some more plow factor to the AM.

I haven't used that motor but on most apps you can set one of the modes with the acceleration and (if the bike offers it, over run) off. Acceleration is that initial surge from the bike. I have my trail mode with acceleration completely off so it feels like a regular bike as you start pedaling then it starts to match your inputs. Def helps with tight turns, and downhill. I always have lowest set to power saving (everything on 50% accel at 50%) , trail (60% assist, full power, no accel.. which is my regular bike feeling setting for my normal riding), then turbo (everything on boost, full accel. for fun and steep stuff)
@SpencerAstraPOVАй бұрын
I'll have to make sure I take the acceleration off my blue setting. That's a good idea!

Hey Spencer! Would you mind sharing the setup for your mic / camera etc? The audio quality is great!
@SpencerAstraPOVАй бұрын
Hey, yes, it's a Rode Wireless Pro mic mounted on the chin with the provided wind muff. I just record to the internal storage. Been loving it, but wish I could balance the voice to bike better as it's an inch from my mouth.

Hey, Spencer! You mind sharing how tall you are? You’ve mentioned you’re a bigger rider… I value your insight into bike sizing, especially if we’re near the same height.
@SpencerAstraPOVАй бұрын
I'm just under 6ft tall and like 208 lbs right now. I've been up to 215, I sure have a hard time climbing with the skinny guys!

@@SpencerAstraPOVahhh, gotcha. Nice to compare the sizing you say fits well since I’m 6’2”. Really appreciate the content, man.
