It’s been over a year since my last solo episode, and oh boy did I have fun with it!
Thank you to everyone who submitted a question. I tried my best to get to most of them, but if I’m honest, some of them were just too specific so on those cases, as I mention in the episode, I’d suggest hiring a fee-only financial planner to get specific financial advice which is something I can’t provide through the podcast.
I hope to do more of these in the future, maybe even make it a regular thing, but for now, enjoy!

Wealthsimple has a reoccurring buy option

Yes, a few listeners alerted me to this so I'm assuming it's a relatively new feature. I'm thinking of making a video about it. With that said, it's not perfect. It can be pretty automatic if you just plan on investing in an asset allocation ETF then set up a DRIP, but if you want to build your own ETF portfolio of say 4-5 ETFs, the issue with this is you'd still need to monitor the portfolio to rebalance it to its target asset allocation when the ETF values fluctuate. But currently it's the only discount brokerage that has this feature in Canada. So if you're with any other discount brokerage, you still have to do it manually.
