Another great review very honest and I'm in total agreement with you on the R12, looks good but thats where it stops. Many have been returned for repair. I'm a big HW100 fan, although its never changed I think it deserves Grandfather Rights as an all time classic.

I had an R12 . First shot was always way off . I identified this as a magazine alignment issue on the first shot . After numerous problems . Leaks and a recall . I handed it back . I’m now the proud owner of a BRK Ghost . Unbelievable piece of engineering.

I love the testing of these sub-12 rifles even tho I'm in the U.S. shooting 40 ft.lbs.+ rifles. It really shows that high power is not needed for decent accuracy at range.

Hi, I am relatively new to air gunning, but can you really expect a sub 12 rifle to group very well past 50m, especially as breezy as it was there today. Nice range setup you have there. Keep up the good work.

Watch our other videos mate, this is the 4th in the series..... there are much better. We can get a 1" group at 75m with an AGT on a breezy day. But they are a modern gun.... the british airgun companies havnt been developing their guns for the past 20 years, they've been slightly changing the stocks and been calling them LTD editions...... Sitting on their laurels like this has enabled the rest of the world to innovate, invent and take over the whole airgun game... British airguns are now sadly seen as archaic, boring and inconsistent when compared to guns of similar value made in other parts of the world. Thanks for your comment.

Hi, another great review thanks. It would be nice to see the FPS and or ft/lb on the card. I know power isn’t everything but at 75m a 30 FPS is a big advantage and it would be interesting once you have 20 guns on the board the FPS is on the top 5. it would be interesting to know if the gun being tested is out of the box standard or recently been serviced 😊 thanks again for your time. Kindest regards
@Airgunmarksmanofficial
@Airgunmarksmanofficial Ай бұрын
@CarlMitchell-oy3ly Hello mate, all guns used are under a year old and totally standard. We also use them for a few days, making sure they shoot up to standard. The R12 was less than a month old. The difference in fps consistency can be seen by the shots dropping low or gaining height on the target (at longer range) We shoot the guns for a few days to get used to them and find out how they shoot, to make sure our testing is an accurate representation on how the gun truly performs. Once we get the top 20 done, we will look at the ones at the top of the board in more detail to get a clear 'winner'. Thanks for your input mate, keep watching!!!

Hi Phil I'm half tempted to let you try my gun I honestly think there's no more accurate gun out there and that include a airarms ev2 I sold to a friend that came 3rd in the world championship some years ago ,it's a redwolf midnight in .177 never had a single flyer and im sure the std/dev is 0.2 for a full magazine I took it to a tuner to check it out as my chronograph was working correctly and he was shocking by how consistent it was and said there's no way even with the daystate machine he could improve on how it came from the factory and it shoots qys,jsb,airarms pellets with spot on accuracy out to 65 yards.

I thought QY pellets were good for 25/30 metres then were no better than a shotgun at longer ranges. BSA barrels tend to prefer Goldstar pellets,, as always pellet testing is key
@Airgunmarksmanofficial
@Airgunmarksmanofficial Ай бұрын
@mjsmith8741 bsa pellets are notoriously iffy. As always we shoot the guns for a few days prior to turning the camera on, and we pellet test. Being a good range, we stock a large variety of pellets, and being an avid airgunner I have a large array of weird and wonderful pellets to try as well as the run of the mill good quality ones. We don't just test a pellet, we also try it in every size it's available in. As usual, a good pellet can't fix an unreliable regulator.
@TheRealWindlePoons
@TheRealWindlePoons 19 күн бұрын
I have struggled to find pellets which work well in my .177" BSA Defiant. I have found QYS and BSA pellets are only "OK": current favourites are H&N Barracuda 4.50mm / 10.65gn and for paper-punching RWS Meisterkugeln 4.50mm / 8.2gn. Frustratingly, the pellets which work best in my Air Arms rifles do not do well in my BSA and vice-versa. As with anything to do with matching pellets to barrels, your mileage may vary. 😀
@Airgunmarksmanofficial
@Airgunmarksmanofficial 19 күн бұрын
@mjsmith8741 we have guns that shoot qys well out to 50m, it all depends on the gun. We don't stock BSA pellets, as they tend to be terrible in most guns, whereas JSB make pellets in every weight, and every size 4.50, 4.51, 4.52 And 4.53 in .177..... and 5.50, 5.51, 5.52 and 5.53 in .22........ and they are more consistent and better quality. BSA making guns to only be any good with BSA pellets would be very silly for them to do, although it would definitely fit in with thier style of business.
@Airgunmarksmanofficial
@Airgunmarksmanofficial 19 күн бұрын
@TheRealWindlePoons yeah, this is why we stock mainly jsb, as every pellet is available in every size, and thier lead is pretty soft..... great for hunting and getting on well with barrels.
@TheRealWindlePoons
@TheRealWindlePoons 19 күн бұрын
@@Airgunmarksmanofficial JSBs work great in my Air Arms rifles, have used them for years. I was shocked to find they did not do so well in my BSA - but as stated above, every barrel is different. As you say, JSBs come in all sizes - my AA TX200 loves JSB Exact but is best using 4.53mm. Perhaps I should try all the sizes in the BSA as the ones which seem to work best are 4.50mm. Have only just discovered your channel, I'm another new subscriber. Thank-you and keep up the good work.

Technology is a wonderful thing, but I never have understood the attraction to PCP's and all the gumph you need to use one. I'm still using my BSA Superstar that I bought brand new in the 80's not long after it was released. I've used it for pest control and a small amount of FT work all of it's shooting life. Blueing of the metal work is still top notch, as is the beech stock, minus a few little dings. Serviced regularly and apart from a little problem with the trigger spring sear a few years ago, it has been absolutely trouble free. Consistently chronos at 11.49ft lbs. Have used many other rifles in that time from Weirarch, Diana, Anschutz, Sharps and Feinwerkbau. Original Tasco 3-9x40 scope, sportsmatch mounts purchased with the gun. Just the right weight, superb balance and lovely, consistent pull 2 stage trigger, on par with the rekord triggers of the day. Unfortunately finding decent pellets that suit it is becoming harder. Thanks for your review and for sharing. 👍🏻

@TheHitmann069 yeah, there's an art to shooting a springer, that's for sure. I had a webley vulcan out this morning, managed to hit our 100m 🔔 on the 3rd shot. Pcps do need more kit but also allow you to be much more consistent and accurate at longer ranges, which is good fun. Also, with the lack of recoil and the use of multishot magazines, you can send a shot, if it misses by a whisker, you can first of all see the pellets path, and second you can quickly adjust and follow up. Thanks for the comment!!! Happy shooting!!

@Draknareth we shoot at these ranges at our club. There's no point checking accuracy at just 30m, as they should all be key-holing at that. We are merely using the longer range as a representation of qualirt and consistency of the guns tested.
