This is soo lively I love this beautiful old and new church called Catholic.

JMJ + Alleluia, Interesting how they say "the priest's back was to the people" instead of "the priest was facing God". Kind of scary when we read in the old testament, what happened to people when they turned their backs to God.

It has never occurred to these propagandists of modernism what they unleash. Under agiornamento they enthusiastically conformed to the variety of daily banalities. The results are visible now, after 50 years of practical application of these logical cogitations.

I wish they would have touched upon the last minute decision to replace "inerrancy" with "without error"

Father you might want to rephrase that. The priest did not have his back to the people, although that is one way of looking at it, he faces toward God and in leading the people in prayer to God. So rethink that. If you have someone leading you in prayer wouldn't you want to face the one you're praying to? And this is not only in the Latin rite this is in the eastern rites as well

@Tadeo Helms Do you believe that Jesus is truly present in the eucharist body, blood, soul and divinity?

The year of apostasy, and it's only gotten far, far worse. Conciliar popes, and their cadres, have done this, not the faithful. The Church is torn apart, emptied, soulless and divided, and heresies now abound. They protestantised the Mass, they broke the promise to Mother Mary, they welcomed modernism, and indifferentism, celebrated paganism and PJ23 was a freemason? A good one Holy Father's.

Yes. So sad really. And this video bubbles along so optimistically, as if in 2013 it was not quite clear. "You shall recognize the tree from the fruit it bears" goes the saying. 50 years has amply demonstrated the bowl of heresies which was a Vat II. And funny that these fathers did not saw it back then! Except a few, only a few...The smoke of Satan must have dumbfounded them...so they couldn't see the Truth.

Why is evolving different than changing?
@paulfaigl83294 жыл бұрын
no. But the former sounds better. The latter is actually a whiff of the smoke of Satan. Why? Because God is immutable, He never changes. Only our understanding of Him may perhaps evolve, depending on our eagerness to get close to Him. And that can happen now as it happens independently of time. The old Jews were aware of it (as are Hindus and others)...

Why would we want to have a document that plays into the hands of Protestants? That's not evangelization that's not ecumenism that is heresy is it not? It seems like from what is guy from Boston College is saying is that the council wanted the church to become more Protestant. I hope that's not the case.
@CoxJoxSox8 жыл бұрын
Actually the Bible was not always a central part of the Church - for the first 310 some years of the Church the Bible did not exist and it was the fellowship and Eucharistic Feast that was the center of Christianity - the Mass.
@Kurauone__4 жыл бұрын
This is not true. Firstly the early church continued to use the Old Testament scriptures and adopted the writings of Paul which they recognized as inspired. The Canon as we have it today was formalized centuries later. But they did have and use these scriptures before that.

There is scripture and tradition as of two lungs to Breathe by. I don't understand this guy from Boston College is he even Catholic. That's been the teaching of the church from the very beginning is that we understand the scriptures in light of the tradition of the church. And yes only Catholics have that understanding which is part of the reason why we're Catholics. If you don't believe that then become a Protestant I don't know what to tell you.

I hear you! But the two-source theory of revelation (Scripture and Tradition) was in fact rejected intentionally by the Council, not in favor of Scripture over Tradition but in favor of Jesus Christ, the fullness and mediator of Revelation. Scripture and Tradition are still, as you point out, indispensable and mutually enriching, the one not standing without the other, but the point of the Council was to go beyond, or if you will, to what comes before even these, namely Jesus Christ. It is a subtle but very important clarification which the Council made and Ratzinger has written a lot about it. I think that this short documentary sadly didn't bring this out very well. It seems to imply that Dei Verbum is about Scripture - it isn't. It is about Revelation and ultimately about Jesus Christ.
@KMF32 жыл бұрын
@@timhutchMusic you're talking about the second Vatican Council? Well I think that says it all. And all of my looking into Vatican 2 it seems that Satan hijacked that Council. Hopefully it will go down in history as a illegitimate Council. It would not be the first time in history that would be the case apparently.
