The pool renovation...absolutely super, the combination of blue and darker green perfect. But...the most wonderful surprise to us was when you showed your daughter Isabella’s ballet teacher, we replayed it over and over, then sent it on to her brother...a dear friend of ours! I recently found your vlog and just love the interaction between you and Simon. I noticed that you included Phalaenopsis Orchids in your planting boxes. I too love to grow orchids. I saw from your vlog that you covered your orchids with potting soil. Orchids require a special growing medium that allows airflow around their roots. Additionally, they require less watering than the companion plants in the planting boxes and only filtered light. Your swimming pool offers the ultimate humidity for your plants, orchids included. Keep on vlogging as I along with so many others love to watch as you bring your beautiful chateau back to life.

Ideas for your flower beds…. Miniature Red Acers giving a lovely backdrop and picking up the color of the brick inserts, with Agapanthus and in clusters and silver leaf cineraria along the front. Would look stunning and if you plant red tulips for spring colour and snow drops for winter you will have interest and color all year round. The pool room looks lovely.

In regards to your veranda.... might it be simpler for you to either cover the squares missing with either foil wrap or plastic food wrap? Otherwise, tape vapor barrier plastic (5 - 10 ml) plastic sheets from top to bottom of the sections. This would keep the water from coming in and mitigate the mess of having to sponge/vacuum the water up. It would also allow a murky view to the outside but better at letting light in. You could hang the plastic either inside or outside. If it were outside, this would allow the wooden frames of the panes to dry out enough to keep mildew spores away and leave you free to clean and repair from the inside. Loved what you did with the pool by the way. Especially the fairy lights. Magical!

Enjoy your videos and Love the pool area. Have you thought of using outdoor waterproof runners around the seating areas or under the window boxes? Perhaps Persian carpet style with white, blue and green colours. Would look great. You’d need to keep the immediate pool surround clear to avoid tripping hazards.

I have visited the Clos Luce, Leonardo Da Vinci's house. There are amazing models of his inventions, both inside and in the lovely gardens. Amboise is beautiful, we will be going there for another day trip just as soon as everything re opens here in France. Thank you for this reminder and I love your pool garden makeover
