The Wines of Romania podcast invites to a discussion about the needs of Romanian wine - from institutions to training young people and from recovering the wine history to the need for centralized communication. 🍷
Interview highlights:
- We have to prove that the grapevine came to the territory of Romania 7,000 years ago, from Caucasus region, by land, not from Greece, 2,000 years ago,
- In Germany and Poland, alcohol-free wine has a double-digit market share,
- We need education, but with a speech adapted to young people,
- We must bring the young people close to the vineyard, to the vine, peoples were born around the vine,
- Fetească neagră has no way of missing the role of leader of local grape varieties.

Vă urmăresc cu drag și vă mulțumesc pentru că susțineți industria vinului din România. Încerc și eu asta, cumpăr vinuri de la crame diferite, încerc diferiți producători, sper ca industria să meargă tot mai bine. Avem crame noi în locuri frumoase, enologi pasionați, soiuri autohtone cu potențial. Am putea crește productivitatea și volumul exportat, asta mi-aș dori pe viitor.
