Hopefully the rain will take a hike for awhile and you can enjoy the amazingly beautiful nature surrounding your cabin in sunshine. Thank you for the gift of your videos

Thanks for your thoughts, we had a little misadventure, but it seems that the sun is now shining again... I'll mention it in the next video

Very neat design and execution on the door. What a great addition to the cabin. Nice fire, good food, companionship. You are a lucky man. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.

A thousand thanks! Even if the wood is a little rough and cut by hand rather than with electric tools, because we have its charm. It wasn't easy to decide to insert such an "innovative" element as a sliding bookcase as a door in an old stone cabin, but for this small unit of the house, functionality was important to us! Thanks for watching, see you in the next video... if you want to watch!💪

It's always a good thing when your beautiful wife accompanies you to the cabin, Alex. The food looked amazing, and I'm sure it tasted fabulous. The bathtub repurpose is gorgeous. Now you just need some nice sunny weather....it will come.❤

Yes, the good weather is missing. We had a mishap, you'll see in the next episode, due to the rain. We are fine, but the weather situation here is now unpredictable 😓😉

Nice that your wife is with you! I think your garden looks very nice. We have had bad storms and tornadoes across most of the south and middle states here in the US!! Those tornadoes have just flattened so many communities here! Luck is with us here where I live so far. just really bad rain and trees down! Blessings.

And I pray that luck continues there with you. We heard about the tornadoes and what happened, the Italian news also talked about it. A prayer for all those affected!

Hadn't seen one of your videos in a while. Just been busy. This video was just what I needed tonight on this rainy night here in the states. I was in France recently and relied on a fireplace for heat for the week. I was making a fire 3 times a day. I've always loved a good fire but I was certain it made me sick this time. Was curious what you thought of the smoke one inevitably breathes from a fireplaces. Some of the drone shots - in particular 15;30 into the video are to die for - really quite amazing. Glad to see yor wife is with you :) Loved all those bottles of tomato sauce. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Ciao.

Hello and thanks for coming back to watch my videos. I'm very sorry about the smoke from the fireplace, in reality there shouldn't be any. Usually if smoke remains it is because the fireplace does not "breathe" well, it does not have enough air entering the room. The drone adds emphasis, I looked for a window between the storms to take off and look from above. I send you greetings, see you soon!

I need that detector. Going to check that out. Italian food is my favorite. I never thought of adding cherry tomatoes. Tell your wife thank you for that tip. It looks so cozy in there. You have done such a great job. God Bless.
@mywildlifeitalia6 ай бұрын
Thank you so much Donna, happy that you liked the video and the cooking, as well as having recommended the detector to you. There are many ways to make a ragù, I think one for every Italian lol 😅, the secret is to balance the ingredients, not to exceed the quantities and let it simmer so that everything is well blended. If the meat or datterini or cherry tomatoes tend to remain too hard, leave to simmer for 3-4 hours, adding water so that the sauce does not burn on the bottom of the pan. Some also add finely chopped carrots just to flavor, finely chopped celery... I hope I can help you a little 🙏👋 Monika e Alex

I am confused. On other channels I watch where they are restoring stone houses they get upset when someone has used concrete in the past they chisel it away and use lime mortar so the walls can breathe. So why exactly are you using concrete? It would be interesting to know the reason,.
@mywildlifeitalia6 ай бұрын
Hi Carol, I'm responding to your comment first because you're right, a clarification is due. First of all, I would like to point out that I am not an expert in building compounds such as cement and mortar, but I have been recommended by those who obviously use them. Your confusion is probably the fault of my translation, in the sense that I say concrete at a "spoken" level to say that I am using mortar. So, the compound that I use and that was recommended to me is cement mortar with sand, which is very close to lime mortar. I use cement mortar for the first filling, then I will use lime mortar for finishing. Unfortunately, not being an expert, I can't remove all your doubts, but by asking expert people I noticed that everyone has their own opinion on the matter, so I stuck to what a person in the area here who renovates cabins advised me, hoping that I did it right. Thank you for expressing your doubt, the next time I discuss the topic of walls I will mention this exchange of opinions of ours. 🙏🙂

Hello you two, always nice to see you together, that being said I was always told that's it's a sin to put oil in your water for pasta? Is it because there egg noodles? Please clarify
@mywildlifeitalia6 ай бұрын
HI! Yes, because of the egg pasta. Egg pasta and fresh pasta when boiling tend to stick to the pan and, if long pasta, even between the pasta itself. For this, a drop of oil, otherwise if it is industrial pasta it is useless 🙂😉
