Lifelong Alaskan here, I loved hearing the Alaska shoutout from Billy. We have the Permanent Fund Dividend or PFD for short. The PFD was set up in the 70s as a result of the oil boom in Alaska. The PFD pays every Alaskan resident that has lived in the state for a year or more an amount of money based on the profits from oil sales. Residents include children, so if you have a family of six, every person in your family receives the PFD. The amount fluctuates every year but it's usually over $1,000 and sometimes as high as $2,500+. In short terms, yeah, you get "paid" to live in Alaska. Anyway, love you guys!
