Much needed information. But i have some questions kindly answer me. Question#01 Jese keh sami sir ne batya kai hmare pass electricity surplus hai but usage kam hai eski wajha se hum problem mai hain. But there are so many areas, town, villages in Pakistan there is no supply of electricity so why government not supply electricity there. Question#02. All the IPPs have much capacity of producing electricity so when not government utilize maximum capacity it will be little relief for everyone.

Thanks, Taimoor. Here are my thoughts on your questions: • Load shedding occurs primarily in areas with poor collection rates. • Low consumption is due to the high cost per unit. • The government may not be extending infrastructure to areas without electricity due to budget constraints, lack of priorities, etc. • While capacity is adequate, consumption remains low due to various issues such as: • A poor distribution system causing low voltage supply in many areas and load shedding during rains, etc. • The high cost per unit has led many affluent individuals and industries to install their own low-cost solutions. • Previous governments contracted more Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and capacity than the demand, which also raises the cost per unit since the government must pay whether they use the electricity or not from IPPs.
