As an avid long term embroiderer and quilter, I really appreciate the expert designs, projects and advice that you provide for us totally free. I would ask though, that if we are to get a really good idea of what you are showing us and the effect if gives, could we please have a really close up view rather than just an overhead shot? I would have loved to examine the various applique edges shown by Tina Bartelmay at the 5 - 7 minute mark but could not see any detail at all when she showed the various applique styles. By 18 minutes in we were able to see much better. Thanks for considering this when composing your various segments. I have "stuffed" applique trapunto style for a bed quilt. It was 3D dresden plate blades to form corner flowers on the block. The centre circles were then padded with cushion filler. The design also called for the "old style" fusable interfacing method that Cathy Grandy talked about and demonstrated. The pattern was called Dresden Bloom, purchased from Laundry Basket Quilts and it is much more modern than it's name suggests. (No affiliation with LBQ)

Watching the replay, Tina mentions cutting vinyl, on scan n cut , putting fusible on bk of vinyl? Did I understand that correctly? I hope to sew down, then heat vinyl down, then do final stitch. Her method sounds easy. Does she have a video on this? Thks

Hi, Susan. If you're talking about cutting HTV with the ScanNCut, you'll want to place it on the standard mat with the shiny side facing down and select the half cut option. For satin stitches, you can simply tear away any excess material. Just be sure to take off the carrier sheet before applying it. If you're cutting fabric or microfiber cloth, you should first iron the fusible onto the wrong side of the fabric. Then, lay the fabric on the standard mat with the fusible side down, making sure to remove the backing from the fusible first. Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions! ~tw
