I have a similar need on our small property with a neighbor right next door. I want to get something planted to allow us for some privacy. Not a big fan of pine trees but, I can't deny how well they function. Never seen that dibbler tool. I will have to look into one of those when I decide what to plant. Great video.

I'm in the same boat as you in terms of land next door selling and wanting privacy now along the long stretch exactly like how you have done. I was going to do 3 rows wide (each row staggered for more privacy) with spacing like yours. How far apart would you say row to row is? my guess was maybe 12-15ft so the trees can bush out in between.
@TKCL
@TKCL 4 жыл бұрын
Probably 12 feet (recommend even wider), these pines get so large and bushy that they will be touching in just a few years. Cedars offer the most privacy, but about 5-6 small cedars cost what I paid for a 1000 pines (not kidding).

Nice video . Too bad about the easement . Was there one before the property got sold ? How much did the trees cost you ? Where about are you . I get a kick out of people walking around in a T-shirt near the end of December . Thanks
@TKCL
@TKCL 4 жыл бұрын
No there was not a easement, when the property beside me sold from the same family that owns the back property, it cut their road off. Thus the reason for a new road to the back property that is still owned by the original family. The trees are very affordable, 60 bucks per 500 trees. I'm in North Florida, might be flip flops one day and 20 degrees the next. Our winters are crazy.
@henryrodgers3409
@henryrodgers3409 4 жыл бұрын
@@TKCL Ok thanks . In other words they sold part of their property and kept the back part . So now they tresspass on your property to get to their property . Doesn't seem right . Very good price on the trees . Thanks for the tip in planting them
@TKCL
@TKCL 4 жыл бұрын
@@henryrodgers3409 no the easement is actually on the property that sold, it just borders mine. So the new owner is the one that lost property to the easement, I just lost some privacy. Just one of those things I did not think of, or I would have planted trees years ago for privacy.
