hi thanks for sharing. I am planning to use this for 4kg pictures on plasterboard wll. How many strips do i need? Does it hold the weight and last long?? Thank you very much.
@homerentLV5 жыл бұрын
Hi! I would suggest 4 of the Velcro type one on each corner of the frame. Mine has been on the same wall for about 3 years now. It hasn't fallen on me yet 🙈
@amandachambers6141 Жыл бұрын
You can't use them on paper or fabric.

Can we use it to hang a 1×1.5 feet white board...... Bro?
@homerentLV2 жыл бұрын
I believe so just use multiple to accommodate more than enough to cover the weight of the object. if you’re not sure.

Hi there! How did u hang the whiteboard? U don't show the back of it.
@homerentLV5 жыл бұрын
Yes I did. I used the Velcro type. One on each 4 corners. It's holding up well until now.

Can the 3m command strips hold up a darts board? I want to hang my darts board but aren’t allowed to damage the walls with nails
@ebqren4 жыл бұрын
tylerlfc1 I wouldn’t recommend it because your constantly pulling the darts when playing. That might weaken the attachment to the way bit by bit until it actually falls off.

Nice video. Caveat: they don't stand up well to heat. Not sure about cold or humidity. Try aiming a hair dryer at one, or leave the room in winter without heater on.

Will these strips work on wood-chip wallpaper?

No. It has to be a Non porous flat surface.

I want to hang a heavy glass framed picture (I'm talking 5 ft diameter, maybe 15-20 pounds) on a marble chimney breast without drilling a hole in the wall and damaging the marble AT ALL. Is it even possible?
@homerentLV5 жыл бұрын
hello. I'm not certain if 20 lbs can be held by the 3m strips. perhaps the gorilla double sided tape would be an option? the thing is it is really strong and cannot be easily removed especially on your picture frame once you decide to relocate your painting/picture. if the frame is about 15lbs then the black velcro type on this video should do the trick as it is rated up to 16 lbs. using 4 pairs. Good luck! :)

@@homerentLV Hi and thanks for getting back. I discovered this new 3M product while looking for Velcro. www.3mcanada.ca/3M/en_CA/company-ca/all-3m-products/~/Scotch-Extreme-Fasteners-RF6760C-clear-1-in-x-10-ft-2-54-cm-x-3-m-/?N=5002385+3293504743+3294529206&rt=rud A large roll of it was fairly expensive. It's supposed to hold 2Ib per inch, so a 5" strip will hold 10lb. I weighed my artwork and its actually 25lb! I plan to use 4 x 5" strips so in theory that should more than do it. Fingers crossed!

@@kipling1957 How did it work out?!
@kipling19575 жыл бұрын
judith lopez Oh, hi! Yea, that product really works. Since I used it to hang my heavy picture it has come in useful in a few other projects. Anywhere I need to mount a heavy object-so it is starting to replace screws. The stuff is quite expensive but you typically only need 2-3 strips about 3” in length. I bought the 2-roll pack which is about $40 here in Canada. Glad I have that in my toolbox. I hope this helps.

I want to ut a digital screen in my shop window will these work? my theory is just to use a lot of them?
@homerentLV4 жыл бұрын
I do trust the product but i wouldnt risk it on an expensive thing such as a digital screen. It's too much risk for me. think about the heat and cold it will be exposed to. not sure how that will affect the performance or longevity of the command strips.
