"Expectation" is a dangerous word in leadership that has the power to demotivate an effective leader to act like an ordinary leader.
The extend to which an leader expects appreciation is the minimum extent to which he may get disappointed. For a leader with the divine direction, God himself is the reward and man's appreciation is never sought.
When the attitude of a leader is not to please his superior he would naturally not be intimidated but be humble and stoop down to any extent to make sure the common purpose is fulfilled.
Humility is the hallmark of a godly leader.
May God help us to lead by walking the extra mile without expectation.
