Ep 5 Orchha Palace history, Fresco Paintings at Palace, Bundelkhand Palace, Madhya Pradesh

Orchha Palace is located 120 km from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. It exhibits the Bundela dynasty, their culture & history of Raja Madhukar Shah, Vir Singh Deo & their connection with Salim the Jahangir - Mughal emperor. Rai Praveen Mahal.
We started our day visiting the Ram Raja Temple along with the Chaturbhuj Temple followed by breakfast. Since Orchha palace episode length was long, we split it into two episodes. Episode - 4 covers “Shri Ram Raja Temple”, “Chaturbhuj Temple” & Laxminarayan temple which is popular for its Fresco paintings.
Episode - 5 has in detail Orchha Visit, in which we also visited the Sheesh Mahal which used to be room of Mahajaja & Maharani, now converted into Heritage property, Range starts from 12000 per night depending upon the season.

I enjoyed visiting Orchha as part of a tour of self guided sight seeing in M.P. some 20 years ago. The weather/season was Late March / April and VERY HOT .Datia was also interesting . Sanchi , Mandu and Bhopal were fascinating places to walk around.Gwalior was well worth the time I spent there.Of course Khajaraho was absorbing .M.P. has so much to see and do and foreign tourists do not visit there as much as other places such as Agra and Jaipur.
