Good insight on running into questions and then reasoning on finding the right solutions. It’s good that you’re stressing that if you’re unsure of something then find the resource to get the correct information and solution. No shortcuts to airworthiness. Doing a great job and I am enjoying the content.

We highly recommend the Homebuilt Help videos. They were extremely helpful in building our Cruzer last year.

Great genuine comentary. Looking forward to the rest of the build. It would be interesting to see you doing a log of how many man hours actually goes into the build as you progress.

I feel your pain. I'm building a Cruzer and have run into many of the same discrepancies you have. They have been building and selling kits for many years and the consensus in the community is they need to update their instructions. Bid difference is Van's. I helped on an RV-12 and their plans are literally tab A into slot B. I'm a bit OCD and the lack of guidance of when to do something is what drives me nuts. But, we manage.

Loved this video, I too have ran into a issue this week on my Cruzer build. They updated a few things on parts but didn’t update the documentation. The Elevator hinge was elongated to meet the AD that they released, but it now interferes with the Stabalizer tips. So I will be sending an email to Roger to get clearification. Thanks for the videos I am enjoying them.

Thanks Joe, hopefully builders like us can improve the process. I know you are building a Cruzer but feel free to join us over at Zenith CH750 Super Duty Builders if you want.

Powder coating is a wonderful process BUT the insides of the tubes are most likely still bare steel . I'm going to fill mine with primer and then drain it out .A builder near me sent his steel fittings away and.......they lost ' em!!

James Barber That was my biggest fear, I wasn’t too impressed with the way they accepted the parts. Guy pointed to an empty pallet in the shipping area and said put them there. I was thinking more American Chopper cart style but not so much ;).
@annpetry44782 жыл бұрын
could you have counter bore that part to make rivets work?

Ann which part are you referring to? Maybe let me know with a timestamp from the video.

So, the FAA requirement states that at least 51% of the tasks needed to make the aircraft airworthy must be accomplished by amateurs in accordance with 14 CFR 21.191(g).

In order to what?

What is the 51% rule?
@AeroworksProductions2 жыл бұрын
Basically says that for the aircraft to be amateur built the builder must complete more than 51% of all the work in constructing the aircraft. Any less then that and it’s not a kit in the FAA’s eyes.
