dont break your iron tools, when their durability gets low you can place them to relevant block with ctrl+leftclick (e.g. shovel to dirt and gravel, axe to wood and logs, pickaxe to cobblestone and sandstone) when you get crucible you will be able to reclaim 2/3 of the iron you used to make them, and if you see any mob with any piece of iron armor go and kill it it will help you so much in the long run

What a fun series, you're doing great! I admire your persistence in coming back after the deaths and learning about the sometimes brutal mechanics of the mod the hard way. Looking forward to seeing you get to the windmill and diamond pick and what lies beyond all that. One thing you mentioned in a previous video was that you noticed having to go farther on your hunting trips. I don't know if you realized yet, but in Better Than Wolves, the farm animal type mobs don't respawn ever. So as you hunt (or even just spend time in an area at night, since the zombies and spiders will kill and eat animals), the area around you will become completely empty of food animals. Once you have access to the nether this problem becomes easier to deal with since you can traverse long distances to fresh areas to hunt easily, and eventually you can farm. But for now, longer hunting trips are the way.

I think that's the fun part lol. Failing just makes the experience a lot more interesting for me. It keeps me on my toes and allows me to learn. As for coming back after dying just know that it shaves off 5yrs off my life lol

Yeah... strip mining isn't the best before getting diamond pick (and crucible to recycle it), it's better to go into caves/ravines even if it's risky (more risks=more rewards 👍), also finding iron from surface cave/ravine is great to get lot of ressources since there is natural light Also, as i said in my previous comment, using log is really useful for mining: you can quickly block off path and you can easily move in ravine since log it doesn't have gravity, so i recommend using it (better to have too much tools for mining than not enough imo) Lastly try to save as much as possible your iron pick. For mining iron use stone pick, it does the same job maybe slower but it's cheaper, use your iron pick when you really need to break block, or else you will be stuck in an Infinite loop of getting just enough iron to make a new pick and repeat Anyways, keep working hard (and smart) and it will pay off, you got this ! Side note: Could you increase a little bit your sound by the way ? It's a bit too low and sometime your voice get muffled by the game sound
