Indian diaspora outside India is mostly South Indian or Gujarati descent and they influence decisions making for multinational to open business in their native states. Also right now this generation of Maharashtra politicians are the most divided and corrupt and nincompoop vision less ever since independence with no backbone. Highly educated Maharashtrian don’t do business and happy to serve other. The simple reason to not vote for the current Maha govt in my case is that Pune being a leading IT hub, with so much real estate development and industrial base since decades has been denied an airport. We Punekars endure hours of traffic to reach office and every now and then the corrupt politicians throw at useless systems like BRTC, etc Metro started after ten years delay and currently runs for a few kilometers. Pune is the step child of Maharashtra as most attention goes to Mumbai. We keep hearing new of airports being inaugurated in small cities in other parts of India but Punekars are denied a basic necessity like airport. Every morning and evening our current airport remains closed due to Air Force operations. The root cause is lack of leadership. The current leadership is not strong and has to follow the Adesh of High command. Time to show the door to this govt These corrupt politicians are uneducated and lack vision. Center delayed Maha elections and is trying to give lollipop projects to Maha. They know that they will lose dearly in Maha. Losing Maha is always a precursor to lose Centre.

Maharashtra is much poorer than Gujrat, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karanataka, Goa, Sikkim, Chandigarh, Haryana, Kerala when compared per Capital GDP wise. Maharashtrians - Don't get fooled - Check the facts. As long as the Modi Government and BJP in State, we are not getting anything in terms of Industries, Growth. Just analyze yourself how many new companies you saw in last 10 years. In Gujrat, All International Finance Companies have come and All IT Companies have come. If one excludes that, maharashtra might fall beyond may be 20 states. Open your eyes if you really care about maharashtra. I am not against developing gujrat. I am against only developing gujrat Which is seriously hurting maharashtra economic situation. Please visit gujrat once to understand the growing economy and Big Companies being (forcefully) setting up their offices. All this started post 2015..
