That brings back great memories of anchoring in Lamlash Bay before going back out to hunt more 'poor unsuspecting submarines'!

Loved the video. Tarbert on Loch Fyne is very picturesque and very sheltered and with showers to die for if that's your thing. To get there. I am sure you will nip up the Kyles of Bute with an options for fine grub at Colintraive Hotel (free moorings). Caladh Harbour is also a lovely wee anchorage or Kames Hotel in Kames/Tighnabruich (Teenabrooich) for more decent grub and free moorings.

Thank you very much for this. All very helpful and we have followed your advice pretty closely. Currently in Tarbert with a view to heading up to Crinan tomorrow.

Wow. six weeks, that has gone quick. Looking forward to following your sailing in the Clyde. East & West Kyle offer some good sailing. Sounds like your be going thru the Crinan. Crinan is a nice place to stop off with a good pub. It is the edge of the world though and I could get nothing other than a station from Nova Scotia. If you fancy a climb, I can recommend Eigg. The Squrr on the island offers great views. An interesting Island. Dunvegan Castle and Gardens on Skye is magical. Your never get back this year, far too many places to sail too. Your a good team.

Interesting route. Are you going over the top or through the Caledonian canal. It gets better and better the further north you go and cheaper and more friendly. Highly recommend the Orkneys. A great little stop before Cape Wrath is Kinlochbervie which has a interesting entrance. Have fun.

We are going to do the Crinan Canal in the next couple of days. Still don’t have a fully formed plan for the next couple of months and I think makes the most sense is to take it nice and easy and not to try to rush ideally, it will all be still here next year.

Feels like you've done a lot in a short time, perhaps you'll get some decent sunbathing weather and enjoy Scotland

We are currently in Tarbert, in between bright, sunshine and occasional drizzle. Heading off to Crinan tomorrow.
