FULL TOUR of our Titan 1 Missile Complex with a 360 Camera for the First Time. We appreciate all support as this journey will culminate in the rehab of several bunker complexes across the Southwest.
The Titan 1 underground Nuclear Bunker was developed during the Cold War as a deterrent against a Soviet nuclear strike against the United States. The Titan 1 Missile Silo complex was armed with 3 Nuclear Missiles, each 98 ft missile was armed with a destructive 4.5 megaton warhead and payload [the equivalent of 4.5 Million Tons of TNT per missile].
The 'Nuclear Bunker Living' You Tube series documents Nik's exploration and renovation of America's largest and most hardened underground Nuclear Military Bunkers.

This is one of the best "tours" of the complex I've seen yet. Having been in there myself, I was able to sort of process where everything I saw was actually at. But having you walk through each area and showing it on the map makes it way easier to understand how all the different areas related to one another. Patrick still has a lot more work ahead of him. You guys really need some kind of elevator to remove all the scrap.

When you said other facilities can launch the missiles if both of your site’s antenna silos are knocked out, am I understanding it right this way: Say you are site 123-A and lose your antenna silos, does that mean that only site 123-B or 123-C can launch your missiles or are you saying locations beyond those can also launch them?

No power, sewer, water, proper ventilation, partially flooded, tons of materials that have to be removed. Let’s throw in some asbestos, lead based paint, and the possibility of developing some kind of weird respiratory illness. The cost to make a small fraction of that facility suitable for habitation would take years and millions of dollars to do it properly. Good Luck!

Thanks for the awesome video! It really brings back memories. I used to explore the Titan 1 complexes out on the old Lowry bombing range east of Aurora, Colorado, in the late 1980s. Titan 1 complexes were, by far, the largest underground nuclear missile complexes ever built; much larger than Titan 2 or anything after it. it seems a waste that most were only an operation for about 3 years. Do you plan on renovating the entire complex?

That's a fabulous sequence - what was he using for a camera? The lens frequently showed extreme fish-eye characteristics, but also frequently showed superb detail and good spatial relationships between the various structures and remaining items. Are any of the O2 thermos tanks still there, and could you show some details of the two collimation towers for the targeting radars? An excellent walk-through; I feel like a total geek, all the stuff I saw and recognised (and no, I've never been within 20 miles of any of those sites 😥 )

I am not sure I would want to live in one. It would almost certainly be still targeted by a large yield nuclear weapon. An enemy is not going to take your word that the complex is no longer in use and with many thousands of weapons a 'just in case' approach is prudent. Nuclear war is survivable but probably not when you build smack in the middle of 'X' marks the spot.
