Thank you. I came here because I really want to learn how to identify fraudulent stamps. You're right, Linns does a great job identifying, BUT it seems like a lot of that information is either behind a paywall OR they explicitly say they don't want to share how they figured it out because that would help counterfeiters. So please, do help with this!!

But aren't there legitimate dealers who sell postage stamps below face value? I seem to remember seeing this at past stamp shows.

I'm in Canada, but I believe to have found a reputable dealer selling Canadian and US discount postage between 20%-40% off Face Value. I've been using them for about 3 years now and my shipments have never been returned for insufficient/fake postage. My local Canada Posts have recognized their business name when they asked me where I got my stamps from.

LOL These sites are a dime a dozen. As you mentioned, they are Chinese companies selling cheap product - kinda like the cheap stuff at markets with pumped-up websites. I bought a jacket from them as they seem to outlets in Australia too. I had no issue with my order and the jacket was decent. Have fun!

There were five ads in my Facebook feed offering forever stamps below face value. Why is Facebook accepting these ads?
