WOW, so interesting, one of my many themes are the events that Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) has entered in at the Olympics. Having a limited amount of stamps, I am still enjoying learning about the different stamps.

Another fabulous conversation. Could you share with us some Web Sites that market the Olympic stamps. I do not know where to go first. Thank you.

Great. There is only 1 stamp that was issued for the 1st gold medal in Rome 1960 for Greece in sailing by a Prince. Prince Constantine of Greece won a gold medal since 1912 [a span of 48 years]. And he still is the ONLY Royal who won a medal in the Olympics. The special commemorative stamp was issued on 18th January 1961 with a 2.50 drachma .with a printing number of 2 million stamps.

I am going to admit but when I saw the title I was convinced there were philatelic olympics with sorting etc types of games and not about the topic i.e I thought there were events for philatelists and not just people collecting only about olympics... I need more sleep.
