I'm so happy these finally are out! Will make working with practicals so much easier. I do agree that it would be sweet if flipping on in AC mode was instantaneous for those specific situations where it matters. Maybe they can implement a "listen for AC power" trigger option when in DC mode to get that instant on when the light is being switched on. Aputure, you listening?

USB charging port would have been nice. The charging indicator instead of pulses should just use colors (red, orange, yellow, green). and ooo the 3 second delay when it turns on is new info for me!

Thank you for the quick overview! Only being able to charge it with a socket seems pretty inconvenient.. (ordered a couple of them anyways and the charging kit will be pre ordered as soon as possible. Still, USB-C would have been nice 🤷‍♂️)

Hmm that 2 second delay in AC mode might be changing my mind on getting these to truly be used as practicals. For example, a scene where the actor flips a switch on a lamp. These still look super promising though...

@@GripTips So when you do the cue with Sidus is there still a 3 second delay or is it only when you switch the lamp on manually as you did in the video? Cheers.

Carlos Melville only like I did in the video. With Sidus there’s like idk. Maybe a quarter second delay. So you COULD wait for the actor to flip a switch and I doubt anyone would notice if you were in the shadows triggering it.

In dc mode can the light be turned on and off by turning off and on the lamp? Or is that only in AC mode?

If the lamp is plugged in, yes. If not, no. But it reacts better in AC mode. In DC mode, when the lamp is turned off, you get a small flash and then the light goes out
