The problem with the Philippines is that criticism is not taken constructively. And even if the public urges the government to act, guess what, the government will not do anything. There are far too many corrupt politicians in office. The systems and instritutions designed to help citizens do not work, if at all. The common citizens are out there fending for themselves while the govt pockets taxpayer money. So if you as a tourist want to experience the country like a local, then dont be surprised if you get treated like a second class citizen.
@@ginse4891 i love how courageous Thai people are. From how you describe it, its very different to how Filipinos face problems. We Filipinos are known to be resilient, it is deeply ingrained in our culture. We are able to put up with the hardest of challenges, but sometimes that same resilience becomes our downfall. In many cases resilience is being confused with tolerance, subservience, and servility. Against all logic, Filipinos will condone corruption just because elected officials have likeable personalities. Filipino politics is all about showmanship and spectacle. As long as politicians look like they care, it doesnt matter what they do outside of the public eye. Many politicians grow their wealth using taxpayers money and yet most Filipinos do not seem to care. This is what confuses me anout my fellowmen. We complain about how our lives do not improve and how the country goes to shit and yet we put up with all the corruption and all the terrible practices of the government. We are bold enough to speak out but not brave enough to act.

I agree, and that's why I actually liked raw vlogs such as these. Honest feedback from a tourist, this could actually help understand the needs of tourists to help improve tourism in the PH. I am proud to say that the Philippines has one of the most attractive tourist spots to visit, plus the unique culture and English fluency an advantage to cater to foreigners. The weakness, however, is that tourism still lacks proper system, infrastructure, and transportation network.

I like these kinds of vlogs! no sugar coating and real opinions. I'd rather watch these than western vloggers who make trips look so amazing and touched up when you know it's not. I'm actually so shocked that you've been able to travel around the country using public transportation, when a good number of Filipinos would just use grab or uber to get to places faster. Prices in the Philippines run quite higher than most and you'd be shocked that many provinces actually have higher prices than the capital, but im sure you'll gauge it eventually. It's difficult to travel when the budget is on the lower end, especially in the Philippines. Love your vlogs! Keep up the good work!

at some point, one thing that makes it easier and less hassle to travel PH is that everyone here knows English! you can ask everyone about directions, questions and all. Ph locals are easy to approach too. So much love
5:41 actually in Indonesia we have something similar to that 'hanging Rice' We Call it 'Ketupat' we usually eat it when Eid al Fitri, the Muslim Holiday, usually served with some spicy chayote soup, and some chicken curry. Anyway I'm Catholic actually but i celebrate Eid with my Muslim family as well they Celebrate Christmas with me... so i became familiar with 'Ketupat' Tradition... Little bit shock to know that Filipino also made ketupat😃

You must go to Elnido Palawan. For its stunning lagoons, white sand beaches, rocky islets, towering limestone cliffs, and glasslike waters teeming with marine life. Take care always and have fun. May God guide you always. Sending love from Ph🇵🇭

Aww so sorry to experience that.. Im a local and even I get scared passing by that area because they'll keep calling for your attention and when you finally agreed with the price, sometimes they'll add more charge when you're at your stop. There's actually a tourist van that'll take you around several places and is a fixed price..
