Ep 92 - Hauling out in Thailand

In this episode we make the trip to Ratanachai Shipyard to haul out Excelsior and undertake some much needed boat work. Spending two weeks on the hardstand we make repairs to our rudder; strip back the hulls fairing, priming and applying new anti-foul. We also service our sail drives, replacing the seals, anodes and oil and we sand back our props and re-coat them. Our mate Iain helps us install two new through holes fittings and we even manage to find another snake onboard.
Our crew are warmly invited to the Boat Yard Christmas Party and we enjoy the celebrations with the local Thai yardies before splashing Excelsior the very next day.

Yeah we considered true design but some friends had major issues with theirs plus they were super expensive in Thailand. These ones are holding up well 🙏🏼
