In the olden days, on Fridays, I would rush home from work, pour myself a drink, light a candle, turn off the lights and sink into the X-Files. It was the perfect way to end the work week. And then they moved the X-Files to Sunday. Thanks a lot. Now it’s Friday evening. I flip on KZbin and there’s Chevyrell! So I make myself a drink. I curl up on the couch. I light the fire and I enjoy an episode from the stuff room. It’s a great way to end the week. I haven’t watched your show yet. I’m still making that drink and lighting the fire but I’m about to enjoy 40 minutes and 37 seconds of a good time. Thanks.

Great job on your Steek, well done I would not worry about the colour run but think that vest would look great as a cardigan, where the sleeves are knit in just the plain trim colour Love love love your crochet Hexi Cardigan, brilliant colours, money well spent on the Noro in my opinion. Cos as well as getting a stunning garment there’s the enjoyment you get while working on the cardi. I am guilty of spending big on Labienaimee yarn , but wear everything I’ve made with it so often and keep loving it and also love it while I’m making it.

RE: Daylight Savings Time, I think it's harder now because we "fall back" too late in the year. When we were kids (I think I'm a few years older than you), we fell back in September, closer to the equinox. Now it happens in November. I think that makes a huge difference because we don't fall back until after the days start getting shorter, so it's like the loss of daylight in winter is magnified by the end of DST. Just my hypothesis... Love your podcast!!
@sherryknowles08114 күн бұрын
Well we keep hearing that DST is going to end & how many years has thing been a thing I know Arizona no longer practices DST...maybe it's a state by state thing...I hate when it is dark so early...for those that work a 4 days week, they leave for work & get home from work in the dark....how depressing is that.

After 3 Woobles I finally saw it starting me in the face, when you first open the pattern when you put in the code, right under the name of the critter you are crocheting, in tiny print, it says "Download Pattern" click and voila, there is that pattern (also very well written). You could add rows when you connect the granny sides together in the back to give you more width. So even though it’s hitting close to your armpit now, it still needs the center back section to give you space for your neck. I hope this makes sense lol but that yarn is looking AMAZING!! 🤩

Wow, still weird to see color bleed even if it was overnight. Seeing the Yarmalada finished, it was worth it. Size and not cinched is fine to me. Interesting sock heel. Still love the royal quilting square, the stitch is just so pretty. I don't know why guys wear hats "fisherman's style", but they do. Holy, now those are some big bumps of wool. You can probably narrow it down by staple length and of course, doing the sample like you want. My brain went to Wensleydale & Coopworth lol. Have yourself a good T-day too.

They are, but part of the reason for that is they are pre started. That can’t be done by a machine. Machines can’t crochet. So when you consider the labor involved-it makes sense.

Hello Chevyrell, It's always a pleasure to see your podcast! I’ve been in Indiana recently, and while it gets quite cold, it's also beautiful. I have a couple of questions: As a self-taught knitter, what sweater pattern would you recommend for a first project? Also, I’d love to learn colorwork-do you have any easy patterns to suggest?
@chevyrell4 күн бұрын
I’ve not knit it but SO many people say the Flax Sweater by Tin Can Knits is perfect to start out! As for colorwork, not sire a specific pattern, but a coffee cozy would be a nice little project to dip your toe in I think😁 maybe a cowl too! They also have DK and sock weight www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/flax-worsted Something like this? www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mandolin-mug-mitts www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/milky-way-cowl-2

Always fun. Cole is so big, just like my grandson, Noah. Anywho. You are a crazy chick that is so much fun. I have to meet you one day. Perhaps when. I visit my son. He lives in Pittsburgh, PA; it's close to yo7, but not really. But we live to travel and drive. So, coming from Texas, my hubby will figure it out-no clue when just a future hopeful idea. We have tons in common. Tarot and David Bowie are too many to list. But you're on my list of people to meet. I'm an OG who's kept up with your wild and hectic life. I would love Steve Martin if you missed the reference. Am I thinking about getting my grandson a wobble for Xmas? If I help him at 6 years old, he's super intelligent. Do you think that's doable? I won't purchase the fox for him until I hear back. But his middle name is Fox. I will get Gertrude the lama because that used to be my first name, and my mom named me. I've never been called that except by a high school boyfriend who called me Gerd. I'm so glad your neighbor was not taken away in the ambulance that's so scary when we see that in our neighborhood. Your heart sinks. I always love your projects. I think I may have to make the granny things you're making. It's very tempting. Also, I love the long knitted mud length. I guess my mom would call it a duster. I'd call it a hippie throwover. P.S. I've been thinking about starting a KZbin channel. But it might be two-one about my bird and training and showing her to the world. The main ones would be knitting and fiber adventures. But I'm curious about advice. How did you become comfortable being yourself and allow your adorable personality to show through? You have a ton of laughs and fun. What makes your podcasts so fun is your natural ability and your editing skills. What program do you use, and what do you film on? Thanks. Sorry for all the questions. But you're used to my insanity by now, too! Have a great Thanksgiving and all those happy family things. Cheers dear friend, Trudy😂🧶✌️
