The massive games of 1998 keep on rolling in The Electric Playground!
Our first stop is in Atlanta for E3 1998, where Victor Lucas visits with Epic Games’ Cliff Bleszinski and Digital Extremes founder and president, James Schmalz to talk with the guys about the groundbreaking Unreal!
After that Kelly Benson talks to people on the street and asks, “Have You Ever Stolen a Car Before?”
Then at E3 1998 in Atlanta, Tommy Tallarico talks with David Jones, the creative director of DMA Designs about their new juggernaut, Grand Theft Auto!
When we return from break Victor heads to Ensemble Studios in Dallas, Texas to chat with the president of the studio, Tony Goodman about creating Age of Empires! Vic also gets a tour and chats with game designer, Mark Terrano; lead engine programmer, Dave Pottinger; optimization guru, Matt Pritchard; game programmer, David Lewis; senior artists, Brad Crow; and 2D interface specialist, Herb Elwood!
Then, Victor is back at E3 1998 to chat with Rupert Easterbrook, the studio manager of Quickdraw Studios about a brand new Asteroids!
After the break Victor heads to Paradigm Simulations in Dallas, Texas to find out about F1 World Grand Prix for the Nintendo 64. Vic speaks with Wes Hoffman, founder of Paradigm; Shawn Wright, lead artist; and Steve Lotspeich, lead programmer.
Then Jason Wilson from Tips & Tricks Magazine has a tip for Manx TT Superbike.
