EP04: Goa to Jog Falls I Most Scenic Road I Rainy Roads: Exploring the Western Coast

Join us on an unforgettable journey from Mercure Goa Devaaya Resort to the stunning Jog Falls in Karnataka! 🌄🌊
We started our adventure at 9 am, covering a distance of 270 km through some of the most picturesque landscapes imaginable. Our route took us from Goa to Jog Falls, passing through Divar Island, Old Goa, Madgaon, Canacona, Polem, Karwar, Honnavar, Kavalakki, Mavingundi, and finally, Jog Falls. 🚗💨
The scenic route from Goa to Jog Falls was filled with beautiful hills, serene rivers, the vast ocean, and charming villages, making our trip a visual delight. Due to the breathtaking views, it took us nearly 8 hours to reach our destination.
Journey Highlights:
🍽️ Breakfast: We stopped at a quaint Goan bakery to enjoy some delicious puffs.
🚙 Travel: Crossed NH 66 with its mesmerizing sights and reached the Goa-Karnataka border, where we had a couple of inspections before entering Karnataka.
🍛 Lunch: Relished a mouth-watering meal of fish curry and rice at a familiar spot where I had dined almost a year ago on a similar Goa to Jog Falls journey.
🌉 Stopovers: Changed direction at Honnavar, moved onto NH 69, and left the sea behind. We started climbing hills and enjoyed a break on a hanging bridge over the Shravani River.
🌟 Arrival: Reached Jog Falls around 4 pm, explored the breathtaking falls, walked around the property, and enjoyed tea and evening snacks at the restaurant. We even upgraded our room to one with a waterfall view!
🏨 Stay: Spent the night at the KSTDC hotel at Jog Falls, ordering a cozy dinner of dal, chapatis, and aloo ki sabzi to our room.
