Hi guys! I am a smoker. If I sit at a machine and the person or persons are obviously non smokers, I will not light up. They were there first and I would never impose on them. If I’m at a machine with my ashtray clearly in sight and a non smoker sits by me, it is up to them if they want to play their machine. To me, it all adds up to common courtesy. Love you guys! PS, I never, ever leave a mess!

Great concept! I’m a smoker, and I’m embarrassed by some other smokers. How hard is it?👿Use an ashtray. If it’s getting full, empty it. Make sure your ashes go into the ashtray, not on the panel or the floor. There are waste receptacles everywhere, there’s just really no excuse for being slovenly, as mom used to say.

Joseph you are my kind of people. I love how you just tell it like it is. I worked with a woman that was like that and people didn't like her, me on the other hand did because I ALWAYS knew where she stood. I've never taken anything you've said as being mean. You're just stating facts. All of the topics you hit were near and dear to my heart. Yes, I'd like to know why people slap the buttons and I'd also like to know why the staff there doesn't ask people to not do that as it breaks the machines. Slot machine savers are frustrating too, especially when the casino is SO CROWDED and you've been circling for a while trying to find a machine to play on. It is all about good etiquette and just being kind when responding to people. I'm looking forward to your Tuesday Slot Talk to see what else you will be discussing. Also, y'all know I'm a smoker and this is how I feel about it. If I'm squished on a machine on a tight row, I won't smoke at all. If I'm siting on a decent seat with space for everyone or a rounder, I'll light up because there's room to blow my smoke. And what kills me are the ashes too!!!! I literally left a small casino because this guy was sitting two seats down and he not only ashed on the ground, he SPIT! I died inside. Ashing on the ground or not cleaning up after you accidentally spill the ashtray on the machine is just rude.

Bonus Creepers, I don't think most realize what an uneasy feeling it gives the player until it happens to them. Smoking, as a smoker I can say I'm probably and exception as I am always conscious of my surroundings, if I'm surrounded by other players I'll ask if they mind because I understand that there could be a multitude of reasons to not smoke near someone, yes they are in a casino and yes smoking is allowed but that doesn't mean anyone should be inconsiderate of others....thanks for letting me have my say! I've met these rwo gentlemen and they are truly authentic! 😊 I value their input on these subjects. One of my pet peeves is somebody asking (telling) me to turn down the volume on my machine. I normally smile and say I would rather not because I'm enjoying myself. If I wanted quiet, I would've stayed home.! 😮 One scenario popped into my head just now of playing wicked winnings 4, which is pretty loud, but I had it on the third highest notch, and this woman sat down next to me , smoking, put her money , pressed the button once, and then turned to me and said with a snarky tone "would you mind turning down that volume? It's awfully loud!" I said I'll tell you what, "you put out your cigarette and I'll turn down my volume." She instantly shut up. 😅 a lot of control freaks out there...Gosh, I hope to run into you guys again the end of this month when I'll be back at Coushatta. Love this new series. Very very interesting... ❤

Joseph and Josh- This was a great video, and you covered all the pet peeves my wife and I talk about on our rides home from Foxwoods (our local casino). BTW- We have about 5 slot content channels that we watch, and you guys are on that short list. You are always gentlemen, and your great attitude shines through your content. Keep up the good work!! Oh yeah, regarding the "button slappers"- you hit on something I have thought about, and that is why the slot manufacturers don't build in some type of pressure sensor or similar detector that shuts the machine down for a short time with some type of pop up letting the player know that they could be damaging the machine and ruining play for future "slotaholics". Thanks!!!!

As a ex smoker I totally understand it, I would always ask if I sat by someone who I noticed didn’t smoke. And I never ever blew it their way. Thankfully I gave up that habit almost 8 years ago. I never realized how bad it smelled until I quit. Hopefully I never go back to it. 40 years was long enough. So happy you have started this channel Joesph. I absolutely LOVE this. So a few comments. I hate button slapping will not do it and I side eye people who do it. Smoking: I am a smoker.. nasty dirty habit but addicting. But I am a smoker. I will NOT blow my smoke in someone's direction. I'll hold my hand down by my seat and if I have nonsmokers next to me I will blow it up and put my cigarette out before I'm done with it. And now about the screaming at the slots. I totally agree about watching your surroundings. My daughter won about $700 on a $0.50 cent bet and was one of those "excited" winners. I told her to shut up and don't bring attention cause you never know who is around. Ok I'm done.. Thank you for all that you both do and know I've never missed a video. Keep up the great work! ❤❤

I love the discussion. I totally agree with the etiquette you mentioned. I feel similarly to Joseph that it would be nice for smokers to ask before lighting up if they sit next to a non-smoker, even though they don't have to if it's a smoking casino. I'm thankful my two favorites have become non-smoking except small smoking rooms, so it's a non-issue most of the time. I hope enough people watch, so Joseph gets his own channel too. I'll be watching.

Interesting topics. Very good points. I'm an ex-smoker and I've noticed a lot of casinos have designated smoking area now. Every now and then the smell of smoke bothers me if I'm in the smoking area so I simply go to another area. It tickles me when nonsmokers go to the smoking area and try dying because of the smoke. I remember once when I was a smoker over five years ago and I was in the smoking area and a lady who says the smell of smoke bothers her asked me to put out my cigarette. I refused because I was there smoking and playing long before she came to play the machine beside me and we were in the smoking room. If you're a nonsmoker stay out of the smoking rooms and stop making smokers miserable.

Most of our casinos in Wisconsin are still non-smoking and the casinos are still FULL of people. Also, at my local casino they have a session saver for 15 minutes. You need your card in the machine, select session saver, and activate. When you come back all you need to do is log-in with your phone number and go back to play. Perfect for a quick break!

I am a smoker and I always ask the person sitting next to me or if I sit next to someone if they mind if I smoke, even if they smoke. Cause some people do not like it. What bothers me when someone is smoking and on oxygen. Scares me. I can not stand screamers at the casino. I like quiet when you hit cause to many people out there watching to rob you. It is scary.

I talked with a slot guy while he was repairing a machine next to me. I asked him if he had ever seen someone break a screen. He said yes. The Casino made the guy pay for it and it was like $800.

I actually saw a man put his fist through the screen, and then he walked away. The next morning the screen had already been replaced. I took the liberty of asking security about it and was told the cameras see everything-he was apprehended and had to pay for the damage. It definitely makes me uncomfortable playing around people who are so aggressive!
