The Running Channel I have done a 3 day 60k race in Mongolia 3 years in a row. It was honestly some of the best times of the year. I think it was my mum who suggested it, I’d just started running consistently and done a 10k. Now I can’t stop running. Edit: also it was never exactly what they said always 1 or 2k more. 😄

Thoroughly impressed. I've always wanted to try a multi-stage ultra (the one in the Himalayas especially), but no desire to train for one until I get that elusive BQ. Can't hardly wait to see how all this plays out. Also, referencing The Labyrinth & Life of Brian in the same video warms the cackles of my heart.

I am grateful that I clicked on one your videos weeks ago. I begin running because my son runs cross country in high school. After trying to give him advice, I decided to be an example by running for myself. I started with a 5k trail run, then I ran a hill run, then I ran a 10k and last month I ran a half marathon. Now I have signed up for my first full marathon. Channels like this one are so inspirational to me and I get so much out of them. Keep up the great work.

Well done for making it through despite your body giving you something to make your journey more difficult. Tears came when I saw how much you were struggling and how awful a monthly can make everything feel worse. I look forward to part 2. Most runners don't touch on the subject of menstruating while running. It would be interesting to hear someone talk about it as male runners don't suffer with it.

Anna, as per my comment a few weeks ago, this was truly inspiring. I took up running in May 2018, joined a club in October 2018, entered my first half in March 2019 and went on to compete in another 5 last year, with the best being Melbourne (both emotionally and a PB!). The club I run in is inclusive, supportive and full of runners of different abilities. We have a number of ultra runners and the clubs signature event is a trail marathon series, over 3 days, held in the ranges behind Cairns (think rainforest and amazing scenery). I’d already committed to a road marathon in Brisbane, was entered to do one of the last days of the 3 day series, but after watching these videos seeing your pain (video 2) , I cancelled...and entered all 3 days for the Grand Slam. To date, I’ve not run one marathon, let alone 3 in 3 days, but this video series (and the training and squad I’ll take part in beforehand) showed me that this is not about time, it’s the experience. Thank you so much for taking the time to create this content, including the bad parts as well as the good and inspiring me to challenge myself once again.

Loved it. Especially hiding from those viscious aggressive cows! Really interested in the food choices though and recommendations like the Firepot meals and Fuga shakes!

Haha! The cows were scary! (Bad experience as a kid!) The Firepot meals were super useful (and yummy) and the Foga shakes were a nice refreshing addition for sure 👍 (Anna)

Great job Anna. I love the rareness of this and truth. Sometimes we (usually me) see others doing amazing things and think how easy it is for them or how challenging it isn’t for them.
