I really like the topics that you pick for your guides, they are very informative on subjects that are not touched by other content creators. As a form of constructive criticism I would like to suggest that you make an attempt to limit the amount of "you knows" that you use.

Thanks for the constructive feedback. I am aware of this, going forward and in my recent episodes 19 and 20 of the game guide I have tried to lessen the fillers in my sentences.

The Murphy's Law is very real in this game, not since the Sierra adventure games of old has an mmorpg successfully replicated that kind of anxiety-inducing tension haha. 😅

I was JUST looking at your channel today and wondering when you would be posting more content. Hope you are doing well FGC!

Yes it has been a few weeks since my previous video. I have been a little tied up with course assignments and increased work hours as of late. Thankfully, the Christmas holidays are just around the corner so I can take it easy, which will hopefully give me more time to make new episodes. 🙂 Hope you are well too!

Just bought. Really hoping this is the game I'm really needing at this time to get lost in.

There's a lot to like about this game, speaking for myself. It may not be for everyone, but for those who can see what it has to offer it may be the best thing to have come out in a very long time.

@@finegamingconnoisseur gave it a shot and it turned me of pretty quickly. Combat just felt way to clunky and disconnected at the moment. I know it's early access but I kind of felt that this wasn't something that would change. I'm usually ok with bugs but I decided I'll try it again after release to see. Loving the concept though and hoping for success.
@finegamingconnoisseur3 жыл бұрын
That's understandable. The combat system can take some getting used to, and it won't be everyone's cup of tea. The month of January 2022 will be dedicated to final polish before releasing, hopefully they can tweak a few things here and there to the combat system to make it the best it can be. Hope to see you back at some point.

@@finegamingconnoisseur definitely a fan of Mordhau and the like so the combat attracted me but it didn't feel well executed vs some of the others yet. I'll be back.

Just stopping in to say your vids were the determining factor in me knocking off MO2. Shoulda done it faster. As soon as I started playing with the combat mechanics, and seeing how alive the pc's look just by sticking the camera to the body and making it move realistically, I was hooked. A buddy of mine started playing as well, and while we were talking he started to laugh irl, and I guess his hand jiggled his mouse from the laughter, and it literally made his character look like he was laughing too. I know that is a stupid little thing, but details like that are what entice me, and I'm completely floored it's taken a small indie dev team to make an mmo that has this much life and character in it. Thanks for the content homie, keep it up! Us nooblets need help surviving! 😅
@finegamingconnoisseur3 жыл бұрын
Haha yep I had the same thing happen to me as well from time to time. Sometimes I see something funny and I laugh, and my character's head would bob up and down as my mouse moves. 😆 Star Vault wanted to create an mmorpg where you see the world through your character's eyes, and the first person view means you are more aware of what is going on around you. I'm glad you decided to buy MO2 from watching my videos! 👍

@@finegamingconnoisseur I can remember that. It's pretty much what I ended up doing a lot while IN a guild, because no-one keeps the miner company in-game (VOIP, sure; same area? Nah).
@finegamingconnoisseur3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I can imagine what that must've been like. Given that the tactic of walling off resources were a thing back in MO1, it probably made the problem worse.
@NajwaLaylah3 жыл бұрын
@@finegamingconnoisseur Well, ideally, in MO2 a truly travelling miner or gatherer won't be helpless / hopeless at self-defence-- be a bit less of an easy target even for a lone robber-- but that will probably not change the fact that one is out there in the game-world with only voices from afar for company. Sometimes, I reflect, a guild only exists 1) to give you someone to support and 2) to make enemies for you .> And either way, there are few group activities that aren't battle.

I've never played SWG (before it tried to be like WoW) but I heard that players could make a career out of dancing, crafting and a plethora of other non-combat activities. With some of the new social/RP content coming over next few patches, I hope the days of the lonely traveller will be a thing of the past as people can run around with their friends on their shoulders. Maybe even allow two players to ride the same horse, now that would be a first in mmorpg history.

What pc specs do you have to run this game so smoothly
@finegamingconnoisseur3 жыл бұрын
I have the following: CPU: Intel Core i7 7700HQ RAM: Timetec 32 GB 2400 MHz GPU: Zotac Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 SSD: Kingston 2 TB NMVe PCIe I had a GTX 1660 Super and 16 gb ram for several years and that ran the game fairly smoothly on High settings. I only upgraded to the RTX 3070 and 32 gb ram a few months back for future-proofing and also because I wanted to max everything out at Cinematic settings and still get 70-80 fps. The game will be playable on lower end hardware, just need to reduce the settings to some degree.

I appreciate the content. I just found out about this game today. It looks like something I'd like to try. The biggest turn off from the start is the graphics. It looks like a ten year old game already. Coming from New World to this is going to be painful. Apart from that, I like the survival aspect of it. Other than skilling different trees, what is the endgame loop?
@finegamingconnoisseur3 жыл бұрын
Hello, glad to hear you are taking a look at this game. At 22:13 I talked about what the endgame is, since this is a sandbox game the content is not set up by the developers like you would normally find in a traditional theme park game. Instead, you are given the tools to pursue your own goals and ambitions. As such, the entire game is very much player-driven and most long time players of the first game will be in a race to secure their corner of the world and work towards whatever plans they may have when the game goes into persistent state on 25th January 2022.
@cobyskrilla1193 жыл бұрын
Wow. I'm actually fresh off New World, purchased MO2 yesterday, and I have the exact opposite opinion. I can't believe how amazing and viril it looks in comparison to NW. What I've seen so far makes NW look plastic in comparison. I bought it as something to dick around in while I waited for some content in Aeternum, but now I'm starting to wonder how ima break it to my company members that MO2 is much more in line with what we were wanting out of New World. 😅
@finegamingconnoisseur3 жыл бұрын
Great to hear you like MO2's graphics, I travel a lot in the game and there are certain places where I would always stop and just admire the scenery (when it is safe to do, of course). You're right that this game is the antithesis of New World; there are no quests, instead you are given the tools and means to pursue your goals and ambitions.
@jessepotter3653 жыл бұрын
@@finegamingconnoisseur I did not mean for my original comment to seem disrespectful as if I did not watch your entire video. I understand the difference between sandbox and theme park style MMOs. I thought maybe there were certain things more people strived for than others. If it is truly completely open and not bound to any specific goals, I would need to create my own to stay interested. Perhaps join a strong PvP or PvE guild and take part in open world siege or dungeons. Mastering a craft and becoming rich have never interested me much in games. Only to the point I can be self-sufficient in the game.
@finegamingconnoisseur3 жыл бұрын
@@jessepotter365 No offence taken at all. 🙂 Generally speaking, the game is very much supportive of any kind of goal that the player can think of within the confines of the game's features and mechanics. As such, there are no clearly defined goals or direction; instead, the game leaves that to be decided by the player themselves. A question of, "What do I want to do, and who do I want to be?" I would say a dominant portion of the player base is into pvp, territory control and waging large scale wars. However, I would say there is also a fairly sizable group in the community are not interested in pvp but love the idea of being at risk and vulnerable to it, whether they want it or not. These are the people who live their own quiet lives and do their own thing. Hope this helps answer your question.
